Hours of operation was 7am-3pm Sun-Sat and we came at 2pm. I had buttermilk pancakes, steak hash browns and scrambled eggs. My daughter had turkey sausage, scrambled eggs and butter milk pancakes. It was delicious. We had enough to save for later. Waitress was attentive and order was accurate.

Good food but the portion sizes are a little smaller and higher price than most breakfast places. The service was definitely rushed but it was also mother’s day so I can’t blame them. We were able to get seated almost immediately but we had to flag someone down whenever we wanted anything.

Awesome Mother’s Day breakfast with my Momma, sister in law, and 2 brothers, And we are picky! Everything was absolutely perfect! I had the Eggs Benedict, my number 1 go to, whoever has it. Flippin yum! Eggs, so perfect and runny! Hollandaise sauce, yum! Really the best I’ve had in years! The waitress, wish I remembered her name!! was super sweet and attentive. Those, to me, are the most important! Great food. Great service! Note to self…take pics!!

I use to eat here all the time b4 covid and today I went and was so disappointed, service was terrible, people smoking right outside the door was the 1st disappointment , then my mom ordered french toast and it was old and stale, we complained and they were so rude especially the old man was so abrupt and condescending, we didn’t eat the food and we still paid and he was annoyed and customer service was terrible, too bad cause they just lost many customers that I always recommended to them including us!!!! Super expensive for low quality food, I paid $24 for small soup and small reg salad that I didn’t even eat!!!!

The food is average. A friend and I went there for breakfast for a change of pace last Saturday. We each had 2 eggs, bacon, hash browns and only 1 coffee. Quess how much the bill was. . .$38.96, with tip $45.00 for BREAKFAST!!! We’re going to go back to Sea Shells in Lake Zurich. Food is better and breakfast for 2 is $28.55 with tip $33.00. A 36.6% savings over Red Apple. If you go there beware, remember I gave you a heads up.

The family and I have been to this Red Apple many times over the past couple years. Unfortunately our last couple times have witnessed a demise in service and food quality. Last time there, the water glasses were still very dirty and lipstick could be seen in them. The breakfast dish was luke-warm but the Turkey club my wife ordered was pretty good. My kids love this place but now we are more adverse to go back due to the lower quality and poor cleanliness. I hope this is only a temporary setback and they improve so we can again frequent this establishment on a monthly basis.

Toppings on berry/yogurt waffle were fresh and plentiful. Waffle was cooked perfectly (golden brown and crispy on outside and light and fluffy on inside). Skip corned beef skillet if you don’t like the canned stuff.
