Sakura is the best sushi in Sioux Falls, and it’s not even close. The quality of their food is honestly the some of the best I’ve had in a very very long time. The hamachi Kama is so flavorful and tender, it’s absolutely perfect. Since I’ve been to Japan, I just can’t eat most sushi in town. But I actually get excited for Sakura, please try it and it will be your go to sushi spot, I promise

Went today (2/7/22) I was picking up for someone else and decided almost right away I needed some too! I was greeted right away by friendly staff. I watched my food being made and it was loaded with fresh meat and veggies. Rice was perfect texture. I got the Godzilla Roll and sauces were just phenomenal. Pricing was more than fair. Plating was gorgeous. Hands down best Sushi I have ever had!

We stopped by Sakura on a weekend getaway to Sioux Falls. We started with Miso soup and I got the Peppered Tuna Tataki for an appetizer (cooked perfectly and delicious). My wife is expecting so we had to get cooked items but chose (from right to left in the photo) the Amazing Roll, Lava Roll, and Foxy Lady Roll. It was hard to choose our favorite!! All three were great tasting! It’s a small, family run business, but boy do they keep busy. Constant door dash orders and folks coming in and out for pickup. Definitely the place to get sushi from!

I had the Lava roll which was fried sushi that had shrimp, cream cheese and avacado inside. It was still a little spicy for my tastes though….I had asked to remove the spicy mayo but a little was left on I was told, I didn’t think that would be a problem.

I came here yesterday and ordered chicken teriyaki & calamari. my food was horrible, calamari was really rubbery, the chicken teriyaki was bland. I mentioned it to the waiter she began to scream and yell! Pointing at other tables saying they ordered it and they didn’t have a problem with it. She called me the problem and literally screamed at the top of her lungs for atleast 10 mins. I was treated very poorly, and I will never go back to this place!!
