Clean, friendly and welcoming. I ordered their sampler. The brisket was on the dry side, the ribs and brisket must get basted with the same horrible sauce while cooking. And I’m pretty sure that was the only seasoning on them because sadly all of the meat I had was pretty bland. Salt, pepper, and garlic go a long way people! The chicken was a bit mushy and again bland. Mac n cheese, basic. I actually liked the sausage with pepper Jack. The Turkey, it was probably the best thing on the plate. But don’t take it home and reheat it it will turn dry quick. Overall this was a lot of money for a big nothing burger.

I wasn’t expecting this but absolutely the best brisket bbq I’ve ever had. My husband ordered the brisket sandwich n Mac. I ordered salmon shrimp and brisket Mac on the side. It was so delicious I could’ve eaten it again. The salmon is spicy but I love spicy food. I highly recommend this place and will be back. The staff was friendly and accommodating. You won’t be disappointed. The chef Mr. Seth even greeted us while we ate.

My boyfriend and I were at a title company on Hwy 28 west today and I told him when we came out that I could smell BBQ. We just couldn’t see the business because of construction going on beside it. Well I pulled out on 28, saw the sign and turned right back in there. Man am I glad I did. We have eaten a lot of different places and tried so many new dishes, but I would have to say that this is by far the best plate of food we’ve gotten to date. The ribs are amazing, don’t know exactly what you do pit master, but for sure keep up the great work. We will most certainly be back. Not to mention the atmosphere and hospitality of the staff. The inside of the building is so charming, cozy and comfortable. ❤️

We were attending a convention in town & decided to try this place… it’s great! One of the owners took our order and was so friendly. The drinks & refills are self-serve. They have 3 kinds of tea, lemonade & sodas. Lots of smoked meat options, but if you want a baked potato, come early because they can run out. We went on Saturday night and enjoyed a perfectly cooked steak and a side of crispy fried okra. They have purple onions and spicy pickles for your BBQ. Our friends tried the brisket that had a great pepper crust and the smoked turkey. They didn’t mind taking our photo and actually asked to take our photo for their social media page.

I stopped by Koal’s while passing through the area. There is a large seating area that holds a lot of people. There is a large menu selection. I ordered the wedge salad which was just okay. It definitely doesn’t compare to the Saltgrass Steak House wedge salad though. It needs more dressing and the option of a balsamic glaze IMO. For the entree, I asked to order a brisket and pulled pork plate (which wasn’t on the menu because there wasn’t an option to order a 2-meat plate). The cashier said “no problem, I can do that.” I paid and seated as I waited for the food. Unfortunately, when it arrived at the table, there was no pulled pork. When I asked the waitress for the pulled pork, she said that I would need to go back to the cash register line and pay an additional charge for it. I declined and ate the brisket which was good but a little on the dry side. The green beans were very good. They were out of a couple side options but I don’t recall which ones. Overall it was an okay experience but next time I’m passing through the area I’ll look for another place to stop.

It was absolutely wonderful!!! This was my first time eating here and it was the best food I’ve had in a very long time. The brisket tacos were the best tacos I’ve ever had in my life, the brisket on the fries just melts in your mouth, and the crawfish tails were seasoned to perfection!!!

Best BBQ in Central Louisiana hands down! I have been multiple times, and gotten multiple menu items. And have never had a bad experience. The menu is short with options for every hungry carnivore who enters. The beef rib is the crown jewel in my opinion and the pulled pork is the best I’ve ever had. If you are looking for BBQ in Pineville/ Alexandria, there is no substitute.

I’m very picky! This was the best BBQ I’ve ever had! Amazing flavor, tender and moist brisket. Good bbq sauce. Excellent tea. I ordered a bake potato with brisket, and an extra quarter pound of brisket on the side only $19 and some change. Clean bathrooms with good soap and good paper towels. The staff was very polite and informative so was the owner. I wish I lived closer to this place.

Overall, an okay experience. The food wasn’t what I expected. The man/manager/owner was very friendly and wanted customers to have a good time. We probably won’t return, especially since we came from 1 hour away to try it based on the reviews.
