Went for lunch during the week. Had a decent lunchtime crowd, which I attributed to the food being good. Got the “Nachos Salad,” which is your basic Mexican salad in a tortilla bowl. Hard to mess it up. Salsa and Cheese dip were large portions and had great flavor. The location was clean but dated. Overall, it was a decent experience.

Friendly staff but not to much attentive to my liking. Could have add just a little more meat on my tacos. Overall I had an okay experience…

First time I’ve been here. I called in a pickup order; just three crunchy tacos. It was all ready when I came in. The lady was really nice. They even put in some chips and salsa no extra charge. I’ll definitely be back.

Everything was really good, the restaurant was very clean and the food was perfect. The staff was friendly and nice. I recommend 100% they kept telling us if we needed something and they were always attentive to our needs.

Speedy service, good quality food. I will say the quality and portions of the food are better when dining in than taking-out, but still my go-to Mexican restaurant. The house margarita is great for the price, I’m also a fan of the chicken nachos – the shredded chicken is never dry or bland!

My husband, son, and one of my daughters LOVE this place. We live in Snellville so it’s a little bit of a drive but we visit as often as we can. Their salsa is great and so is the cheese dip. My husband likes the fajitas and I like the nachos.

Honest Review
I gave El Torero a second chance since I absolutely love mexican food & I was visiting the state & stone mountain area. Once again, money wasted. Appalled is an understatement. Not only was my food tasteless, my order was incorrect. I was also overcharged. The salsa was the only food item that tasted ok but not amazing. I’m disappointed in the chips. The rice is bland & the beans are muy mal/ very bad. I ordered a vegetable burrito sin queso/ no cheese, which wasn’t done correctly the first time. Why was I charged for a meat burrito?!? . I have to discard the “meal”. If you have tastebuds that function properly, you & your tastebuds will be upset if you visit El Torero. I added salt to no avail. The only positive I must share is that your order comes out quickly. I will not revisit when visiting & I highly do NOT recommend. I felt like I had entered a restaurant that had been left behind to the 80’s. Most Mexican restaurants have moved on past the order system combo #1 taco, burrito, rice and beans ect. The food was generic at best flavorless, one sauce covers everything. Guacamole was the premade from ther gallon jar, the pico that came with the Flauta that I ordered was something that came from a premade container that had become pickled, nothing fresh made about this place what so ever. It was so disappointing, should have known better when I seen the menu, but I was humoring my husband, thinking maybe this will be something special. If you know what “Good” Mexican food taste like and enjoy fresh food, that is made at your table (Guacamole). This is not your place to enjoy that quality of great Mexican food. I won’t be back and I won’t recommend it.
