I do really Love this place. They are way more affordable and normally just as good as any other pizza, Italian restaurant. I’ve been eating at De Leon since they were in the old mall in the early 90’s. I know Frank, and I know he makes good food. However, I recently ordered food Saturday night about 8:30pm. for pickup. I ordered lasagna, stuffed shells,and a cheese steak sub. When I got home, I didn’t immediately eat. I waited until around 9:30 and as soon as I took my 1st bite I was shocked at how salty it was. I continued to try to eat it. However, it was extremely salty. The stuffed shells were fine.

My family and I walked in, the place was only 1/3 full. I asked if we just sit ourselves and the waitress said yes. So we sat and sat and sat. Waiting for over 10 minutes before I said Can we get some service over here, we’ve been waiting 10 minutes already. The waitress quickly apologized and said they were short staffed even though they had 2 waitresses and were training another. She brought our drinks over but then another waitress came over to take our order. She very rudely said What do you want? with a very rude look on her face. We ordered and I said thank you and she just walked away like it was our fault. When she brought our salads she practically threw them on the table. She brought the check and she never returned to pick up our card. We left cash and saw her and the other waitresses sitting like they had nothing better to do. Talk about horrible service. And the pizza is mediocre to say the least. Won’t be coming back to this place!

People aren’t very friendly there, no smiling faces. Not once. If it were up to me i’d never go again but my sisters love pizza and its conveniently right by the theatre. Once again the dining experience is…very poor and unwelcoming. Pizza is greasy the first time we go there and the last time it was semi burnt on the bottom..i couldn’t eat it because some spots were literally BLACK but my sister ate it so i guess it was good enough if youre hungry enough!!

Ordered take out for lunch, two salads. The salad was ready, but no house (O/V) salad dressing. Waited another 10 minutes and finally got some kind of oily dressing. The veggie wrap was up to par. Sauce seems a little different though. Hope they get their issues worked out.

I ate af DeLeons when it was at the Mall next to the theater. They have great pizza. But this was first time at their new location. Got a slice of pizza to go & it was good but ordered the sampler to pick 3 items for my wife O9. The menu said there were going to be 6 cheese sticks but there were 3. I ordered chicken tenders & fried mushrooms but they gave me corn nuggets instead. I will overlook it but will check more closely in the future. Plus I wanted to order a beer while I waited & they had a licensing issue & they’ve been at that location for years now…smh

I found out the other day that the previous owner had sold the business. I went last night for a pick up order, and they seemed to be struggling with a lot of things. I got my order and left. The food (particularly the pizza crust) wasn’t as good as it used to be. I’m hoping the new owners can sort things out. Last night, though, was disappointing.

***UPDATE*** Frank has left the building ! Frank was the catalyst of De Leon’s Pizza and has moved on. I’ve been a couple times under the new ownership and you can immediately tell the food is not the same. Very sad as we all know what happens when locally owned eateries sell out to new folk. We just had an anti pasta salad that’s now a kid’s sized portion with more stalk than leaf. The pizza crust is not Frank’s recipe either. Tastes weird and bready vs like is use to be. The new cheap mozzarella tastes waxy. The pepperoni was tasteless. All synonymous of cost cutting by the new owners. I feel for the original wait staff that are still here. The kitchen took an extremely long time to prepare our small order too. We will not be returning there again. It’s a sad day

Always excellent. Served us in a huge party after my dad’s services. DeLeons was his favorite restaurant for 30 years. They have always treated him well and today Sydney was outstanding with a huge family. Thank you Frank for taking care of “Coffee guy.”
