Food is okay but overpriced. The fried green tomaroes and crawfish sauce is amazing but the rest of the menu is average. The gumbo is a no go. It is all rice and little meat and the sauce taste flavorless and overcooked. The cornbread is dry. The Eddie’s cabbage rolls are the same, full of rixe and the hamburger meat is a little dry. Not a great tourist spot for eats but the ambiance is beautiful and there is a nice little shop upstairs.

If you want to go where locals go, go to Monsour’s bar. It’s located in an old biscuit factory.

Great food in a great old building with beautiful river views. Reuben was delicious and the potato salad … SO creamy!

Never experienced anything like this place. Six front of house staff members, fifteen customers, yet it took over an hour to get our order of potato chips on the table. Our waitress couldn’t answer any questions about the food (said she hasn’t eaten any of it) and we could barely catch her to refill our drinks. The sweet tea was delicious and the view was nice, though.

This place is delicious, but it will be a long wait for your food. Anywhere from 30 minutes to an hour after placing your order. The waiters are usually pretty good at visiting often while you wait. If you’re expecting quick service, you should try somewhere else, but the view and atmosphere in this place makes the wait not so bad.

We dined here for lunch. The plate lunch was very good. We had Fried Catfish with 3 sides for less than $10…Hard to beat that. Quiet, romantic atmosphere. Excellent view of the Mississippi River and River front. Server was very professional and accommodating to every request. Restaurant was very clean as well as the restrooms. I would definitely recommend Monsour’s.

Been coming here for 2+ years now. Fantastic night atmosphere. Kay and Mandy are absolutely fantastic bartenders and will treat ya right. Food is all handmade from scratch so does take a little longer, but I’ve never had a disappointing meal. There’s two well separated bars, one smoking, one non so there’s a place for everyone. Great social group hangout.

Some of the best fries I’ve ever eaten, and the potato salad was AMAZING!! We were the only folks in there, which I thought was unusual. No complaints on the food at all. Our server took awhile to warm up to us, but we had a good vibe running at the end. Honestly, my only reget was not getting a gallon of potato salad to go!

Food was very good and very filling. I ordered the Catfish and shrimp poboy which filled me all the way up. My boyfriend got the mushroom and Swiss burger, which had a very substantial sized Patty. I had heard mixed things from friends but was pretty impressed on the whole. Food was a little slow coming out but we were here in the middle of the day and it sounded like they only had one cook because it was the slow period. Definitely worth checking out. Menu is typical fare of burgers, salads, entrees, with seafood options.

It’s a good place to go on a Sunday afternoon. There are very few people. The lunch menu ends at 2. Inquire about the availability of the ingredients for your order, repeat your order, and verify it when the server brings your drinks. Beer is also served. There is a bar available if you want something stronger than tea or soda. $$$
