By far the worst meal I’ve ever had. The special was T Bone steak and crab cake.

Had a great meal with my wife and mother in-law. We all loved what we ordered. Had the shrimp and grits, seafood and pasta and the franklinia ravioli. I tasted a little bit of everything and thought they were all cooked perfectly. The service was fantastic. My only complaint was that I was hoping for a little bit more to the salad for the price but they brought out more than enough rolls to make up for it.

One of the best meals we’ve had in a long time. Service was great and the food was outstanding. They help me surprise my wife with some flowers and went out of their way to assist us. We will continue to go back many times. This is highly recommended. .

My partner and I thoroughly enjoyed our meal. We shared the Fried Green Tomatoes as a light and tasty appetizer. We both had one of the Trout dishes (spectacular). Then split the Key Lime pie for a refreshing end to our meal. This is a GO TO place if you are in Cashiers NC.

My husband DJ’d an event here and we had the pleasure of eating the owners food from the restaurant! Which makes me write this review because he is also the chef!!! Fantastic food! We will be back to the restaurant to try more delicious things!!!

Great Service, Marginal Food, Loud Porch Dining. Three of us went. Two of us thought that their entrees were particularly good. I though my entree was marginal. We all enjoyed the Appalachian Charcuterie Appetizer (A Board Containing Goat Cheese, Pimento, Brie (All from local farms), salami’s, spiced walnuts, dried fruit and spiced blueberry preserve). One member of our party loved the spice blueberry preserve and ordered a side to go with her entree. I had the Continental Divide Trout (boned trout filet laced with a lump crab stuffing and char-grilled over an open flame. Finished with a lemon herb butter.) I was disappointed – the trout was overcooked and dry and there were too many carrots on the dish. Another person had the Panthertown Pork Tenderloin herb rubbed and pan roasted, served with a black cherry demi-glace, crispy Vidalia onion rings and garlic chive goat cheese crumbles. She said that the demi-glaze, missed the mark, but she enjoyed this dish with a side of the forementioned spiced blueberry preserves. The third member of our party enjoyed the Trout Chatanooga (boned trout filet dusted in flour, gently sauteed in olive oil, herbs and seasonings and a splash of wine.) The service was excellent. Our server was professional, courteous, and very attentive. The porch where we were seated was exceptionally noisy – to the point that it was hard to hear the server read the specials, or converse with other members of our dining party.

We come eat here once a year while we are in Cashiers. Great food. They do alot of fresh local dishes most of which are fantastic. The appetizers are on the very small side, but the main courses are very filling. Service is spot on both the server and the bartender visit the table and introduce themselves. They are always knowledgeable and helpful. Do make a reservation as they tend to fill up. Sometimes if you’re lucky the local black bear will visit the field by the restaurant.

PHENOMENAL! Only way to describe this meal. I was looking for something a little special for New Year’s Eve dinner for my wife and I. Choices were limited in Cashiers, but I decided to make reservations at The Orchard”. Am I ever glad I did. The ambiance was perfect (upscale but not at all pretentious), the services was great (engaging and knowledgeable without being overbearing), and the food was fantastic. We started off with the charcuterie board which turned out to be a great choice. The Cesar salad WITH anchovies was one of the best ever. My wife ordered the Silver Run Seafood and Pasta and I selected the Trout Chatuga. Both were better than we had anticipated.

You CANNOT go wrong with this place. We sat after the meal was over and went back through every top restaurant we have ever been to and decided this is our number one restaurant of all time. The steak and the venison made us both stop in our tracks. It was like biting into a cupcake, but it was steak. So tender, so flavorful. We were full, but we had to keep eating it.
