I have been driving by this place for over ten years and always wondered what the food tastes like. Well, I found out today! Place was literally empty but yet we waited about 20 minutes to be acknowledged and seated. The elderly lady that sat us could use some training in customer service or just flat out retire and close this place down. My wife and I ordered, shrimp tempura (that thing in the picture) wonton soup, fried rice and general so chicken. It was all the most disgusting food that we have ever tasted. It was so bad that we left after seeing what they call fried rice.

I often find myself nostalgic for the “sit down” Chinese restaurants of my 1980s childhood; there are so few remaining. The moment I walked in, I was instantly transported back. We were served hot tea and noodles with duck sauce to enjoy while looking at the menu.

Went to Taipan tonight an hour before closing. Nobody else there just the owner. Food was ok but nothing special, lots of soy sauce and MSG. Drank maybe 3 full glasses of water and still thirsty. From what I gather from the reviews, it seems like on busy days and times they have different chefs and the food is better. On slow days like the Monday night we went those chefs arent there and it is is bare bones semi greasy take out caliber food.

Food was absolutely delicious. The dumplings, spare ribs were incredible. This food reminds me of what great Chinese food should be. Got take out 2 weeks later and it was just as good as it was when I had dinner there. I see why they have been in business as long as they have.

A must each time I return to Clifton Park, NY. Tried and true cuisine. Absolutely tasty and presented beautifully. Courteous service. Pork and shrimp dimsum, sweet and sour pork, Mai fan noodles, salt and pepper shrimp, sesame seed balls pictured below.

We ordered for delivery, and although the order was correct, we didn’t receive any sauces, cookies, or utensils.
