As always the food is 5 stars. This time our waiter was not very organized and did not check back until it was time to drop check. I had to ask for a refill on my Diet Coke and they were not that busy yet. We were slightly ahead of lunch rush- Sunday at 11:30. I had the shrimp Piccata, which was great with the lemon, capers and fresh tomatoes + angel hair. Started with the roasted jalapeños cream soup – really good!

This was a nice cozy place. We went on veterans day but there was no signs indicating veterans received a comp meal, you had to inquire. Plus side to that, the place wasn’t crowded. The server wasn’t rude but not helpful much upon ordering. The table which we had was in the far corner along the wall. I asked about the specials that were posted outside and her response was our special board is on the wall. Which was about 30ft down the wall we sat upon and not in view. She wasn’t sure what the specials were herself and upon asking what was recommended her answer was, “yes”. Our food was delicious, which is why the rating is at least a four. I’ve never like cucumbers /zucchini but the seasoning on the food has my taste buds singing. Everything came out fresh, hot, and very flavorful. I was eating hush puppies like they were dessert. The pictures are jalapeños soup, oyster nachos, catfish with seasonal veggies/hush puppies and fries. We also had bread pudding but the server forgot to bring it. After we paid and sat for a minute, table cleared, we reminded her. Then she brought it in an open dish but it was asked to be taken to go. Not sure what the server’s disconnect was about. Anyway, the bread pudding was large in size, very good and super moist. Didn’t get a photo unfortunately.

Basic menu with minor imagination for the essential items but good to see trout and redfish on the menu. Oysters Nachos with moist Pico de Gallo was a pleasant surprise. The Calamari was fried nicely and the accompanying Siracha sauce bordered on the sweet side rather than spicy. The coconut “(en)crusted” trout had neither coconut flakes nor coconut crumbs – did the cook skip the coating or only dab coconut “liquid?” Expected one of the many variations of the almondine theme but the trout here was treated differently after being entombed in the freezer for an extended period.

Always so good. The best house salad cuz it’s not the usual lettuce, tomato and cucumber. Their sockeye salmon special was delicious. Great service from Hannah. Great food. Never had bad food here ever. Highly recommend if you love seafood. P.s. I wouldn’t mind the vinegrette recipe Fish City, if you’re listeninglol.

Food is pretty good. The location and atmosphere are really nice although parking at Firewheel is almost always frustrating. Not the restaurants fault. The mixed drinks are always good and there are specials. They run daily food specials on their chalkboard and they are usually good and fairly priced. They have a regular menu but it is limited but the food is good. The restaurant has a fun atmosphere and is nice and clean. The music they play is also to my liking. Lots of 80’s! My only real complaint is inconsistent service by the waitstaff which continues to be an issue.

Amazing seafood for a landlocked state. Used to live in Dallas and Fish City was a staple for the crab cake sandwich (pictured). Had it today for the first time in a few years and it was just as good as I remembered. You can customize it as well with cheese, mayo (although the spicy Old Bay mayo it comes with is amazing!) Can’t go wrong! HINT: try the jalapeño soup….AMAZING!

I was disappointed in both food and service. I don’t want to be to hard on them, just one service is not enough to say bad service is the norm. I ordered fish tacos and the server me fish burritos. Was just not impressed.

The food is really good, a tad bit pricey but if money isnt a problem, Id highly give this place a go. They have plenty of benches and a small bar for those with alchoholic tastes.
