Live around the neighborhood, barely eat outside food or takeout but came in twice and both experiences was not good! First of all lady in the front was attending all calls while I and others were waiting for her to take our orders. She kept saying one minute one minute, it really did take a long time. Second time again as well, the young girl in a rush definitely didn’t do quality care, instead they care about quantity taking all orders at one time having people wait instead of attending them kept saying one second. Apart from it I should’ve known better than to order from a place where it is rated B.

If u don’t care about them following your instructions then this is the place for you. Me personally…I prefer ordering from places that listen and pay attention. How hard is it to put soy sauce in the bag. Why do I even have to ask for that. You’re a Chinese restaurant. Smh

This place was totally different back in the 90’s. I don’t know what happened but it has totally went down. It’s always empty. It’s old and outdated. I ordered a half fried chicken and fried rice. The chicken was really dry and the meat seemed stale. The fried rice totally sucked, it was moist, soggy and not authentic good fried rice. The girl in the front is rude. Ho Mei on 103rd and 37th Avenue is so much better.

It was a brisk cold morning as I wandered in from the north of NYC. I arrived with an empty belly ready to fill it with some delicious Chinese fare. I order a jung gee gai (lo mai gai) which is a sticky rice with Chinese sausage (called lap chern), bits of chicken, and delicious taste. It was a total of $1.75, and it totally satisfied my hunger. I also purchased a lai cha (tea with milk) for my meal on this fairly windy cold day. It helped warm my hands, my belly, and spread heat throughout my body. I am so happy that the lady was there. She was extremely nice like an extended family member. She greeted me and tried to encourage me to stay inside and keep warm. It was odd to see no one in here. Only people ordering to-go. There were two ladies working there. One who spoke Mandarin and the other spoke Cantonese. Most baked goods displayed were around $1 or less. There were about 8 to 10 seats and four tables. I think I will come back here if I find myself in Bensonhurst.

This place honestly has terrible food. It made me and my partner sick after two bites. They were nice enough to give me a full refund but I think the food may have been old.

I grew up eating food from here. Jack was the main chef back then. Not sure how it is these days, but it sure is a part of my childhood and teen years. Good food from what I remember…

Honestly I’ve been living in New York City almost all my life and I really recommend this family restaurant to be one of the top 5 in NYC.
