Upon first bite, nothing delighted our taste buds, but nothing was obviously off. More bites were taken and more things started to stand out. Why is no one talking about the flautas on here? It was like an alien was tasked with trying to make flautas and it didn’t know what they were to begin with. They were served with a sweet sauce drizzled over it, and sweet and sour sauce.. the inside had buffalo flavored chicken, and perhaps cream cheese? It was creamy and tasted very different than traditional flautas. The rice and beans were okay, nothing amazing. My partner got the crispy tacos and also had the impression that they were off tasting. They were not crispy despite eating right as we got home 10 minutes after picking up. I also got a drink and the cashier served the ice by scooping my drink cup into an igloo cooler of ice on the front counter. It felt so off.

I’m sharing based upon my street tacos Carne asada. Easy, quick, delicious how they should be made .. I was upset with my burrito last time but it was replaced by these awesome tacos . Also, you guys need to get fresh chips .. sitting on chips for 6 hours is terrible . This review is for the tacos . Great seasoning, hot , and fast . Don’t ever get their chips . The ones in your cupboard are better than these . If Jalapeños 2 had fresh chips they would increase revenue x 10.

Deceptive pricing. Ordered 2 regular burritos and nothing else marked at $6.50 each when I picked it up the 2 burritos ended up costing $20+ and the menu in store was different than what was displayed online wasn’t expecting such a price hike will never go back.

Jalapeños 2 is the spot to eat some bomb Mexican food. I swear this place is a hidden gem here in Reno, Nv. I’ve come to eat here several times since I’ve been here for work from California. Jalapeños 2 has never let me down and the food is always consistent & fresh.

Very good food. They have a lot of seafood options and a great selection of combo plates. Good prices. The restaurant was very clean. It is a sit down taco shop style, but the gal who took our order also brought out food to us and came back to make sure we were doing good. Excellent service! We will definitely be coming back here a lot!

decided to try something new. chose this place based on reviews and distance. partner and I both got the carne asada “regular burrito” for $9 each. zero flavor, greasy poorly cooked beef, mushy lettuce, mushy rice, child size chip portions. one star for the salsa since it had flavor. i’m actually sad we chose to try..now writing this review still hungry and out almost $20. won’t spend money here again. will not and would not recommend.
