We were staying nearby and came here for supper. I had checked out the menu beforehand and was intrigued by the Soup-3-Wayz so I ordered that with chili, French Onion, and lobster bisque. They were all good, although the French Onion was on the thick side. I also ordered the Crispy Chicken Salad, which was very good and plentiful. I had a leftover box for later. Ruby had the coconut shrimp and a tossed salad and enjoyed both. There must have been a half pound of green beans on her plate!

When we walked in, the place smelled great and the atmosphere was very enticing. But when we sat down is when the real experience began. As we are all to aware, service in restaurants nowadays is nowhere to be found. I FOUND IT!! And his name is Bret!! Bret brings back what we all miss, someone who cares! Bret was not only friendly but he made suggestions on how to put together menu items to get the most out of our experience. We never had to ask for refills or wait for anything we needed, it was as if he could reads our minds! If you are ever in Heartland and you find yourself wanting a steak, go to Black Rock! And do yourself a favor…ASK FOR BRET!!

Nikki was our server and she was nothing short of amazing. It was a busy night we came in, our first time too. She was very patient and made me feel great about ordering steak I cook on my own. She was attentive and the space we were in was amazing. I can only hope every location is a great as this one.

We just drove from Greenville South Carolina for a special dinner here at Black Rock. We have been here several times when we lived in the area. We always get the sirloin (.whatever size suits your appetite) and salad and a soup. Lobster bisque is the best we have ever had. If you want fresh and hot from the first bite to the last give Black Rock a try. If you are really feeling adventurous the volcano for desert is a great shareable option. Black Rock rocks.

Michelle B was the best! She offered us the special and it turned out to be amazing! She offered a special cheese cake to us as well and it is my new favorite dessert! She was fast and had a great personality and made us feel like family Thank you Michelle we will be back and we will definitely request you as our server!

Black Rock in Hartland never disappoints. This time was no different. Michelle was our server and she was on point. Drinks refilled quickly(I had 10 diets cokes) and I never had to ask. Our salad was fresh, steak was amazing and the dessert Michelle recommended was delicious. I would go here over Texas Roadhouse in a minute. Wish they had bread here is my only suggestion.

I’ve gone here several times in recent months, and it never disappoints. Servers are great, and the food is top tier for what you would expect from a steakhouse with a “gimmick”. My only real wish is that the tables were a tad bigger to accommodate the larger plates with the rock, obviously, as the center piece. I understand that tables are your real estate in a restaurant like this, unfortunately. I won’t let them distract me from a good time, though. Even my 10 year old son had fun cooking his own steak. Definitely recommend.

We probably came a little after dinner time but the steak here has always been delicious! The only down side was that they don’t have Tabasco sauce there anymore and I think our waiter was having a long at work. We informed him it was our daughter’s B-day but he forgot at the end(oh well). Other than, we always enjoy our meal here.
