Chips and taco salad bowls tasted like grease. I had to ask our server for lemon 4 times before she finally brought me any. Then she overcharged me and my husband both for our lunch specials we got and charged us full price for a kids meal and drink. Tried to call several times to speak to a manager and no one would ever answer the phone. I used to love this place but after today I won’t be returning.

The customer service was great and I enjoyed food. 2 for 1 drinks were a bonus. I ate the shrimp creviche: the waitress emphasized to me that most people think the shrimp is raw because of the fresh Pico de Gallo. I appreciated her explanation and enjoyed it.

Probably the best Mexican restaurant in Mississippi. I have the good fortune to live within 3 miles of the place, and have eaten there often over 14 years. The service is always friendly and prompt. My food normally arrives in less than 7 minutes, and have never waited over 10 minutes, even with a large crowd. The food is exceptional, and the wait-staff are the most friendly I have ever met. Truly, a fine example of how to serve great, fresh and flavorful food, and still make customer-service your top priority. Think of everything that McDonald’s is NOT, and you have El Sombero. Well done!!!!

Pretty good, frozen margaritas a bit strong. So yeah, I’m a bit tipsy. Edit: I’ve changed my rating because at my last visit I was overcharged by 8 dollars maybe more. Our ticket was not clear. It was a white woman with blonde hair who did, so avoid her. For three people we were charged 80 dollars altogether. I’m not happy.

If I could give 0 stars, I would. I did not enjoy my experience here at all. The waiter seemed uninterested in taking our orders. The food was warm to cold when we recieved it. We told the waiter about it and he said there was nothing they could do. I would rather go to Margaritas down the street. They have excellent customer service but wanted to try something new!

Love their chips, salsa and cheese dip! I haven’t found my favorite item here yet besides the chips and dips. They always give my son so much cheese on his cheese quesadilla!! We really like that part! 🙂

Typical menu. In a very large group, but I waited for water and tapatio til 1/2 through eating. Never got my own salsa, a salsa bowl or fresh, chips. Server never asked me if I needed anything. Couldn’t catch waitress to request items.

I used to like this place but I was there today and had a bad experience. Was very starved I ordered the enchilada plate which comes with one chicken one beef and one cheese instead I got all beef I was so hungry I was willing to eat it but ask the waiter if I would get a discount for their mistake. he said the only way I’ll get a discount if I don’t eat. pretty unfair if you ask me. Didn’t taste very good either.

I honestly can say that this restaurant is so good from the service to the food. I am completely pleased of what I am getting when I go there I ordered shrimp nachos and the waiter was absolutely pleasant spoke English clearly and fluently and the food was so good I almost ordered some to go.

This was a clean place and the service was fine, but the food was either boiling or lukewarm, the cheese dip was very thin and runny, and the food didn’t taste great. I probably wouldn’t go back.
