The Mankato Dickey’s location is now in their grand re-opening after being closed for a few months. It’s not clear as to whether there was a change of ownership or what, because the layout inside looks pretty much the same – maybe with new video menu boards and a bit cleaner.

first time trying this and it wasn’t bad. the inside was very dark and empty, kinda stale and humid too. the food was pretty good. they had the best bbq sauce i’ve ever had. my boyfriend and i placed a mobile order and by the time we got our food, it was kinda cold and soggy. i’d come back but order in person.

NEW OWNERS! 1st time I have eaten at a Dickey’s establishment. It’s like a fast food place with class. I was greeted by smiles and a “Welcome to Dickey’s “. Forget any posts on this place before today! This place has NEW owners and they are Great! The menu has great choices and the staff answered my questions about the food with confidence. They have Coke in a Yellow Cup. Check it out. They are having a Grand Opening tomorrow October 14 2022. This BBQ place is worth trying.

Tried this place again for the first time with the new owners. It was amazing!!! This is the best it has ever been! The owner even gave my son a free cookie. I would highly recommend going here, great barbecue and service. My family and I will be regulars for sure.

Under new ownership I am told. Friendly people and clean place. In the area for a game & had ordered a brisket sandwich, mac n cheese for lunch. I’m not a big on eating brisket but this sandwich was very tasty. Seasoned well and really don’t need the sauce but it is a nice touch. Mac n cheese is creamy. If I lived in the area it would be a place I would frequent. Overall i would recommend the locals and visitors try the place.

Thought my son and I would try Dicky’s again since we’ve had major problems several months ago. Under the previous owner, the food was terrible, the place was very dirty, and they were out of pretty much everything. Now that there is a new owner, I can’t stress enough how much better EVERYTHING is. The place was spotless, the service was wonderful, and the food was outstanding. I do smoking and BBQ myself at home and I am a bit particular about my food. Everything was great. We had a chance to meet the owner, Steve. Very nice guy and we will do whatever we can to rally behind him to make sure Mankato has a BBQ joint to frequent. Please give them a try! Oh, and the ice-cream machine is FINALLY working lol
