So here is a much awaited opening of a local friendly Vietnamese restaurant. Except it’s no longer friendly. I stopped by around 6 pm on Monday evening hoping to get a quick appetizer to go, which was never a problem at The Exchange. There were only 2-3 tables occupied, 4 employees were chatting at the food counter, clearly not busy – yet I was asked if I have a reservation and told that take outs are only available 11-4. It would only take a couple minutes to fry spring rolls which were probably premade anyway. I understand – you had super busy weekend (although your biggest publicity was from people who didn’t pay their bill) However, may I remind you – you are not located in Manhattan or Georgetown, so maybe turn down an exclusivity airs a bit?

They used to be good when they were at The Exchange. Now they turned us away from takeout (on different occasions we’ve called and they said no more takeout for the day, eg at 4pm). Then another day, they turned us away from dine-in service (said they were full when most tables were empty). Family was excited when they reopened in this new location, but they don’t make it easy to try to eat there. They’ve successfully convinced longtime fans to give up on them based on their service alone.

Would be nice if they updated their website! And also informed people that reservations are recommended. I decided to go on a Tuesday at 540pm and was told they were fully booked even though the restaurant was at max 50% filled.

This restaurant recently opened. The other day I went to order online and it wouldn’t go through. I called and no answer. I went there to place an order and saw a sign saying they weren’t doing takeout. Which is understandable with being new and just getting into the swing of things. I also should have checked their Facebook page where they give updates on when they are doing takeout. Anyway, I tried them for the first time for lunch yesterday. We got takeout (yay!). It was available until 4PM. SO worth it! Great meal. I got the beef pho and the broth was just… Amazing. The food was ready when I got there. The person who checked me out was kind. I look forward to ordering from them again in the future. I wish them the best of luck at their new location!

Appatizers come out after the entree is served. Chicken is rubbery, steak which the menu say is served medium rare is actually served well done. The place is pure choas, the food uneatable. Overpriced for what one gets, this place is to be avoided

I have only tried one food here and I will come back and try it again guaranteed. It was a sweet jersey corn and coconut pudding dessert. I love corn and I love coconut but I never in a million years thought of putting the two together. Hot hot crushed corn covered with a cold sweet coconut in a light flavored pudding…sorta. it has to be experienced to be understood. I will be trying the other food here because of this.

I called there 4 times in two different days, just handed off the phone twice, and the other two time never picked up, and I’m pretty sure they’re open. I am not sure if they are ready for service.
