We found this place while trying to find another restaurant that we wanted to visit. We quickly checked what kind of food they served and our mouth watered when we read your menu. Excellent lunch down at the West Henly Boil Shack.. the pork chop is double thick and super juicy. The sides were excellent and the fried shrimp was a good choice to add on. Went back the next day for the shrimp basket. Definitely going to be a go to spot from now on.

Know other have raved about this place but came away unimpressed. The Boudin link & mustard were tasty, but the Blackened Shrimp basket was mostly breading & the Gumbo was lacking in everything but salt. Finally, although there was only one other table seated, service was extremely slow.

We were headed back home to Austin and saw the West Henly Boil Shack so we decided to stop in for lunch. This place is great. The atmosphere and the staff are awesome with good food to back it up. I recommend checking the Shack out if you’re passing by or in the area during meal time.

Great food and awesome service! We brought a big group of kids and they were totally accommodating and friendly. And to top it off, my wife accidentally left her purse here and the staff kept it completely safe until the next day. Thanks and we’ll be back soon!

Perfect dining experience in the Hill Country. It’s a gem located just west of Dripping Springs. Love sitting on the back deck any time of the year. Food is amazing. Staff is friendly. Crawfish and shrimp are my favorites. Must have is the crawfish boudin balls.
