Will definitely be returning. Prices are decent. The pernil platter was delicion. The salmon platter was fried salmon strips ( i should have read the description better and would have preferred baked or grilled salmon.) Both platters came with yellow rice and beans, and pico. The salmon platter alsoo had avocado. The serving sizes were generous. We saved half of our plates for lunch the next day. We also had some soft shell tacos with some sort of sausage which was finger licking good but they were devoured during dinner so nothing was saved for lunch.

Words can’t describe how much I love La Mesa. I’ve been ordering from them over a year for myself personally. I’ve also had them cater 2 work events. The quality of the food is top notch. The taste of the food is immaculate. The customer service is spectacular. Special shout out to Marc for all the countless times he’s explained in great detail what each dish entailed and overall just being super kind and super nice. A big plus in my book is that everything is reasonably priced (even during this crazy time of inflation). And the portions are generous. If you are looking for flavorful food that will delight your tastebuds, check out La Mesa. I highly recommend.

Monday is our day for pupusas and have to be from La Mesa; even though we have to drive 12 miles. The quality of the ingredients are good, the food is always fresh and the service is always great. We always call in advance because they need between 15 to 20 min to prepare them. Also, they have hot food every day which by the way is not over price like in other places and the choices are very yummy.

WOW, we were passing by and finally had a chance to pop into La Mesa! Always love a steam table! A very beautiful place, spotlessly clean, super owners and great food: fusion or combo Philipino and South American flavors. Great dishes and salads, also many pickled salads ready to serve. See photos!

I really want to like this place, and that is why I keep giving it a chance, but I have now had my fourth bad experience and I feel like that is more than enough of a chance. The food is really tasty. If you live close and pick up, I’m sure it’s worth it. I ordered once from work and waited forever for a delivery. When my coworkers and I got our meals, mine unfortunately was covered in pork (it was supposed to be a vegetarian meal). The other three times I ordered from Uber eats. One time, the order was about an hour and a half late and arrived cold. We were certain we would never order from there again. But then a few months later, we figured we would give them another try. We ordered and again it was very late, only this time after waiting about 2 hours, they canceled the order due to not having the items. 2 hours waiting to learn this news. For some unknown reason we recently tried again- the tacos are truly that good. An hour and a half and I can’t believe it but the order was cancelled again, due to being out of items, after waiting that long. Why not cancel the order immediately if you don’t have the items available? Or call to see if we want something else? I cannot believe that on two separate occasions this restaurant thought it was ok to leave my family and I waiting for dinner , for 1.5 to 2 hours each time, before canceling it and leaving us to find another place after waiting so long? I tried to call at this point to speak to a manager, but was told that they were not in. They took down my number and said a manager would call me. Of course, no one ever called. 4 orders placed and 4 pretty big problems. Time to move on, goodbye delicious plantain tacos !
