Per Owners Request wanting explanation: This was my first time visiting. I was taken there for my Birthday breakfast after coming off a 12 hour over night shift. All I wanted was some delicious breakfast food. I didnt get good service. Waiter was preoccupied with what looked like regulars which is nice but left me and my guest unattended. My hashbrowns were extremely under cooked. I did want to tell my waiter but he never came back to my table after I ordered and received food. Never brought me a check. I used menu prices which totaled mabye $25/$26 left $30 on table and left. This was a terrible experience with undercooked food. I would’ve loved to give a chance to make it right had I been given the time to do so.

We stayed the night in Valeska and then came here for breakfast the next morning. The smokes Prime Rib was amazing. I didn’t have enough room for the Bourbon Pecan pie, so I had to get a slice to go.

The specials here are wonderful. Hot beef dinners, steak sandwiches or breakfast are some of the choices. Typical diner/cafe menu. Giant portions of down home cooking. Only open until 2 so get there early. Take out available. They had 7 kinds of pie available this Sunday.

This is a great off the beaten path diner! They are so hospitable and the food is tasty! It’s a great one hour trip from Omaha and worth the drive to check out this little gem of an establishment. Breakfast or dinner you can’t go wrong.

My wife and I ate here in June 2019. Food was really good! Portions were generous. Their home baked pies were really tasty. Overall, very happy and will definitely return. This is a place we would take family to come into town to visit.

After reading the reviews we had high expectations for the cast iron cafe. The food was very good but the service was very poor very poor. She never did bring his coffee and we had to ask her to finish bringing the rest of one oorders. She never came back and asked us any ask us anything About our meal or if there is anything else we wanted

The fish sandwich was massive and perfectly fried – it wasn’t greasy in the least bit. I’m only in town for a short while with not enough time to try the whole menu. Tomorrow I think I’ll try the brisket.

Wonderful food and served with a smile! The pies and desserts are awesome! The kitchen goes out of its way to make it’s customers happy. In January I ordered Swedish Meatballs for lunch for a special outing for the residents from Eiler Place. The cook came in early that day to prepare our authentic Swedish meal! Thanks to the staff at Cast Iron. I highly recommend this cafe!

I ate here two years ago and I still can not stop thinking about the food! I am really thinking I need to make the 90 min trip just to eat there. I really hope they have the blueberry pie when I get there. Seriously the BEST pie ever!!!!
