Great food. The squash soup was exceptional. Very good chicken fried steak. Exceptional attentive friendly service. Not expensive. Comfort food in a home style setting (although that squash soup would get raves in any Michelin star restaurant). Recommended.

This seemed to be a mom and pop shop. My hubby had chicken fried steak with onion rings. I had crispy chicken sandwich and my kiddo had chicken tenders. We shared jalapeno poppers as well. Everything was delicious, everything was full of flavor. The tenders were juicy. Staff was upbeat and the young man that served us was very pleasant. We dined in, the restaurant inside was small, but we didn’t mind. I marked this in my Google maps so if we pass by we can stop here.

The wife and I tried it for the first time today. Was outstanding, everything we ate was really good, and the service was as good as it gets. Prices were actually on the cheaper side too! We will DEFINITELY be back!!!

A cafe experience, awesome! Just had the chicken tenders with Cole slaw, roll, gravy, and fried okra. Large tenders done perfectly. Friendly staff – excellent food. Highly recommend.

This is possible the best chicken fried steak I have ever had. The food is fresh, the service is great. I have travelled all over Texas and can say, this is an amazing place. Worth the drive from Fort Worth! I will be back.

We stopped in for lunch today while in town for the Bluebonnet Trail. This is a small family restaurant. It was spotlessly clean. The chicken fried steak was perfect. Good home cooking at really good prices

Great little local eatery! Food is delicious and tastes homemade. They have an all you can eat catfish special for a great price and the catfish is so good. The batter they use is savory and has some herbs in it.. it’s fried nice and crispy Great friendly staff. A must if you’re looking for a local place to eat in Ennis!

The food and wait staff were fantastic! It’s a must go to restaurant when you come to town. We were served a complimentary cup of corn soup after they took our order. Perfect for a cool day or any day.

Find a spot in their tiny parking lot, then start out with a taste of the soup of the day and enjoy the friendly staff! I had their smothered chicken. Chicken was crispy, with juicy meat. Mushroom gravy was a perfect accompaniment. Fried okra had heavy breading, but the grilled zucchini was great!
