We were in the mood for Grouper and came here for dinner one evening because their menu showed them having Grouper in a couple of styles. We actually walked past it, because the signage is basically just a sandwich board outfront, which we overlooked when walking by, but then we walked in… isn’t this place interesting?!?! A Star Wars theme with eclectic décor and an interesting version of Urban Gothic of the owner on the wall.

This cozy retro bistro type restaurant has all the flare and Star Wars memorabilia to keep your full attention. The food is eclectic, fresh and delicious. I highly recommend ordering the Trios. They also carry Coca Cola products surprisingly because most of Key West is Pepsi. They do offer outside seating. I will definitely be visiting here again.

Run, don’t walk…but a reservation is a must. They did our own fresh catch yellowtail snapper for us in a delicate lime and butter pan sear that was crazy good. Sczechuan green beans are maybe the best we have had anywhere. Wedge salad with mild yet tasty Bleu cheese crumbles was fresh, cold and crispy. Hubby not a fan of balsamic vinaigrette but he was blown away by this one where they whip it to a thicker, creamy consistency. Get the entree portion of Mac and cheese with actual chunks of lobster. A hidden gem.

I hate not to get more and better pictures of my food at this fantastic find. Underneath the battle between Vader’s tie fighter and a squad of Rebellion fighters is a creative and mouthwatering display of the chef’s talent in arranging flavors to delight the senses. Both my wife and my meals at the Flaming Buoy were a highlight of our trip to Key West, and the service was remarkable.

Unbelievable food! We had the bacon wrapped scallops, caress salad, filet, lobster Mac and cheese and the grouper. I don’t know which was better because they were all absolute 10’s- but I swear I think the bacon wrapped scallops were the best I’ve ever had. Atmosphere is super chill, love the hidden gem vibe, reminds me of the hip little hidden gems in NYC. Dean and Derek were amazing, so personable. They had great knowledge of the menu, super attentive to everyone, kept a wonderful vibe and kept the place running like a clock. They worked great as a team. Thank you gentleman and chef for an outstanding meal. Definitely one of our absolute best meals in the 20 years we’ve been playing in KW. We WILL be back!

My husband and I enjoyed the most romantic meal at the Flaming Buoy. Everything about our dining experience was sheer perfection. The lobster mac and cheese was a home run and the scallops with maple glaze and sweet potato mash was AMAZING! Aside from the high quality of the food, the service was just as impressive. We quickly began chatting it up with the owner Fred and our server Derick. This is a locally owned restaurant and the love and dedication the staff put into the food is what makes this place so special. There are a lot of options for great food in Key West, and this restaurant encompasses everything wonderfully unique about Key West! Thank you Fred and Derick for the wonderful experience ☺️

This restaurant had a vibrant candlelit ambience with a modern dark and funky interior decor. The manager and staff were fantastic, full of positive energy. The food was incredible. This was the best mea we had in Key West. Everything was cooked to perfection and full of flavour, especially the prawns which were very juicy and the lobster Mac and cheese. The staff recommended some other great restaurants which improved the dining experience for the rest of the trip. Please see my other reviews.
