With the lack of reviews and empty restaurant we were worried…boy were we pleasantly surprised! The food was amazing! By far the best food we have had on this trip to San Antonio. My husband and I both got the two different shrimp tacos. Mine were the Tacos Gobernador and I could not stop saying, “these are sooo good,” as I ate them. Our girls got the chicken pasta kids meal and combo kids meal and they both loved them. I also got the mango margarita which I don’t normally go for but was so glad I did. It was fantastic. Will definitely be telling everyone about this place.

Alta Mar is as amazing as the reviews say they are, take it from the guy who delivers seafood wholesale to this location periodically. I get to see the back of restaurants and the front of everyone we deliver to in the San Antonio area, so this place is definitely one we decided to eat lunch at after a delivery.

So good and fresh. Had shrimp in a butter garlic sauce, large appetizer of fish, and squid in a sauce. We were skeptical at first, but wonderfully surprised. Staff was great attentive. Will definitely go back. Love that you don’t have to have sides with what you order. Just delicious food.

This is my favorite sea food place. I love the flavors and the service. Very welcoming and clean. The food is tasty, big servings (we usually share a plate), and affordable prices. I just didn’t like the margarita but the food is good.
