Fantastic pulled pork BBQ, smoked right on site. Good choices of sauces. Excellent bar choices, including a wide selection of tap and bottled beer, a decent cocktail menu, and extensive bourbon selections. Friendly bartenders and customers. I watched a pool tournament going on and there were some pretty talented players.

Found lunch. And it was very good. And not because of what happened next. Never before in my wide travels have I had a member of the staff, my waitress Kelly to be specific, came up to me after my meal and said, ” I want you to know I paid for your lunch. Thank you for your service. “I told her that it wasn’t necessary and she said it was an honor. First time ever . Yes, there are still some great full people out there. Wont forget this for a long time. Share this people. It won’t happen all the time but it still happens. And FYI, it’s the first time I have been here.

We recently moved to VA and have been enjoying finding new favorite restaurants. We’ve tried bbq from several places so far (Exchange, Smoked Kitchen, and Moe’s are a few that I can recall offhand). So far Wahoo has been our all-time favorite. Family living in the area raved about Exchange and Smoked Kitchen … until we took them to Wahoo. They agree it’s the best they’ve eaten so far. We’ve had the brisket, pulled pork, smoked wings, and pulled chicken platters. I’m usually a chicken girl, but the pork is out of this world. I doubt I’ll ever order anything else! Portions are large and the sauces are tasty. BONUS: we only live a mile away! The only thing that could be improved is the cole slaw. Moe’s is 1000% better. It would also be nice if corn bread was included in the platter instead of offered as a side, but those are small things when you consider how much meat you get compared with other bbq places. I’ll try to remember to pause long enough to take pictures next time!

A must-stop when in Fluvanna or central Virginia. The pork is great and the brisket is only found this good in Texas, but you’re in Virginia so you don’t have to drive as far.
