Amir has opened a little gem in the bustling downtown area of Montclair. Conveniently located on church street, and serving the tastiest sandwiches, you should def stop by and give it a try! Their popular Dutch daddy sandwich is stacked with pastrami, bacon, egg and cheese and will definitely hit your flavor spot! Their menu is pretty vast and has lots of options to choose from! The decor inside is cool with art on the wall and friendly customer service. Grab a sandwich and some fries, a cool drink and sit outside while people watching & taking in the charm of Montclair. The best part is that the spot was named after his Dog Dutch who sadly passed away, but whose name lives on! Check out Dutch’s portrait featured inside 🙂

The sandwiches from this shop are absolutely delicious! I had a custom sandwich and it was made perfectly. It’s so difficult to find someone who can put just the right amount of oil and vinegar and this place did just that! My husband had the chicken continental and he loved it! If you want a true handmade sandwich with real ingredients, come to this place!

We drove from Westchester County NY to Montclair NJ specifically to visit Dutch’s Sandwich Shop. We heard great things, and we wanted to try it. We had The Dutch Daddy sandwich and it was absolutely delicious! Pastrami, Bacon, Eggs, Cheese, and on a FRESH Brioche Roll. Heaven! What a treat! The service was great and the location is fabulous. It was a pleasure meeting Amir. Kudos to the whole Dutch’s Sandwich Shop team. We went 2 days ago & I can’t stop thinking about The Dutch Daddy sandwich. I live in NY and now I have a favorite sandwich spot in NJ. LOL. We will be returning soon.

I had their Barkley sandwich for lunch and it was delicious. I’ve had a lot of steak sandwiches in my life this one by far is the best. Also had a side of cheesy ranch and bacon fries, best combo imo. Can’t wait to try their Buffalo chicken cheese steak tomorrow.

I grabbed a buffalo chicken cheesesteak and was super happy with it. The sauce was nice and tangy so it kept the sandwich light, and it had a balanced spice so I didn’t burn out. I housed it. My partner got jealous and got her own sandwich, the Rick and Mortadella. Also good, light and refreshing on a hot day. I saw five different sandwiches and they all came on different breads. Legit. Met the owner, he’s passionate about his sandwiches and it shows. He hooked us up with some ice cream sandwiches that were so good I was bringing them up the rest of night. To top it off there is outdoor seating and Church Street isn’t very busy so it was a great place to hang out and enjoy the weather. We’ll be back!

Dutch’s is my new favorite spot in Montclair. It’s the perfect location to spend the afternoon on Church St. I’ve dined in and gotten to-go orders, and both times, the food was delicious, and the service was fantastic! The Oscar and the Becky Pollo are especially good, but I don’t think you can go wrong. We’re looking forward to eating our way through the entire menu this summer 🙂

This new spot is a gem. Everyone working there is super friendly; including the owner who was kind enough to introduce himself. I tried the Grove Street breakfast sandwich and it was delicious. Looking forward to go back and try more of their unique sandwiches (especially The Dutch Daddy ).

The sub rolls are generic and soft, sandwiches are little on the skimpy side for what you’re used to getting at other good sandwich shops. For the price and the way they present themselves you’d think they would prep the tomatoes properly and cut the cores out. Got my hopes up but wasn’t impressed at all; the Italian Job was literally reminiscent of a quickchek sandwich. The contents of the cheesesteak was very good, chopped finely and tasted great but I couldn’t get over the bread. Front of the shop was at least 90 degrees. $60 for 2 mediocre sandwiches and a moderately sized salad with mushy, nearly rotten strawberries in it. May give a couple other non-sub roll sandwiches a try in the future. Their breakfast sandwiches also look good
