First of all, I want to be clear that we went on their second day open. Things moved slowly and the wait was long, but that’s to be expected while everyone is still learning! The inside looks great and has definitely been updated a ton. The first thing I noticed was actually a cook with a long braid who was taking such care to make sure the to-go boxes were carefully garnished and I was so impressed with how seriously she was taking that part of her job. She was crushing it.

This has been one of my favorite lunch spots for a while but they absolutely blew my mind today with the smothered/loaded sweet potato waffle fries. Honey, brown sugar, toasted marshmallow and peppered bacon sounded a little strange at first but it is absolutely life changing. So dang good it seems like it shouldn’t even be legal!!!!

I have nothing bad to say about The Naif Cafe. Fantastic service, the food was exceptional and the atmosphere was very welcoming. I got the Southwast Turkey Sandwich and they were subbed out the bread for a wrap. The Turney was warm, the bacon had an amazing flavor to it yet it had a kick of pepper behind it to help balance out its sweetness. The owner himself, Geoff Beasley, was walking around, greeting guests and I even saw him cleaning up tables after guests left and assisting the kitchen staff. I definitely will be making this a regular go-to place for eating in Cushing.

Cushings got another great water hole. Quick and polite service, with great food at a good price. For my first experience I ordered the Prarie Hot beef and jalapeño wrap with a side of loaded waffle fries. Absolutely delicious. You guys knocked it out of the park, we’ll be regulars for sure.
