One of my top three ramen spots hands down. I love the style of dining as well as the “tip included” menu pricing. The system they run is like a well-oiled machine and their ramen is 10/10. A great place to go alone or in a small group. Line is always long, but it moves quick because service is excellent.

I usually go to the Brooklyn location with my friends, never go there solo. Today, I was around Midtown and decided to come to this location by myself, and it turned out to be a fun experience. It feels comfortable and private to sit at the single booth. There is a bell on the table that you can call staffs to help with, otherwise no one will bother you. The ramen is as good as the Brooklyn location. I just hope they can have more items on menu so I could come here more often for different food.

Hands down one of the best ramen I’ve had. I won’t lie, it is expensive at about $30 a bowl. However, totally worth it since you don’t need to tip. It’s also a great solo dining experience since you get your little cubby to eat and there’s a curtain between you and the server (good for those who like minimal interaction)

Stopped by for a visit tonight & this place is definitely one of the top highlights of my trip! The staff is very kind, friendly, & patient with new visitors. The ambiance of the restaurant is clean, calming & refreshing. I had the vegetable ramen with scallions, mushrooms & their famous red spicy sauce & balsamic vinegar. The flavors were perfectly balanced & the broth had me wanting more! I’ve seen a few reviews complaining of the price when this is a “no tipping” establishment. Considering how they don’t let you tip, the prices are certainly fair in my opinion. Definitely a must go whether you’re visiting or are native to the area. Ichiran made me want to pack my things & move here.

The unique experience itself is worth 5 stars. The food being really good is just a bonus. We had to wait around 30 mins to get in on a Friday evening. They don’t accept reservations and can seat a maximum of 46 people at a time. Each person gets an individual kiosk that you get seated in. I got a veggie ramen with a spice level #3 which felt perfect. Additionally I got a Macha Pudding which was amazing as well!

Really good vegan Ramen. If you don’t mind paying $25 for a bowl of noodles then I do recommend it. Otherwise had similar in Queens for $15. Authentic feel & ambiance. Fast & efficient ordering process. Great business model for other establishments to follow…

Great tasting ramen but not exactly a family restaurant, but it’s not meant to be. Easy to get a seat if you’re a party of 1. Vegetarian ramen option was very good

Great concept from Japan, where Ichiran is famous for high quality ramen, excellent service and individual cubicle seating. There is always a queue but it moves fast as the staff is efficient. You can customize your ramen order and it is simply delicious.

Must-try! As a specialty restaurant, Ichiran focuses on tonkatsu ramen with adjustable options to fit it to your own taste. Filling portion. Toppings come on the side. Personal booths which makes a perfect solo dining experience, especially for those that are always uncomfortable talking to waiting staff. There’s usually a line so be prepared to wait! A no-tipping establishment.
