TO LIVE AND FRY IN L.A.
In 2017, four childhood friends came up with a simple concept — take Nashville Hot Chicken and make it better than anyone else in America. With only a couple thousand dollars to their name, they boot-strapped a pop-up concept in a parking lot in East Hollywood serving a simple menu of tenders, sliders, fries, and kale slaw — they created a viral cult following with lines consistently over an hour long.

First time going here and I would like to tell you that there is a wait for your order. You can also order online and avoid the wait. The food is amazing and you get a good size portion for the price. It is a lot of seasoning on the chicken so be prepared. I ordered the #2 hot with the sliders and it was comes with fries. You can add the sauce to the sandwich for a even better taste.

I had no idea Dave’s was a thing! I had to visit family in California before being introduced to this delicious place! Large chicken tenders are the name of the game, with 7 different heat levels to choose from. The tenders are served on white bread atop crinkle fries and served with pickle slices and a side of dipping sauce (which I’d equate to a thousand island dressing). I ordered my tenders hot and drizzled them with honey. SO GOOD! If you’re looking for a fast, simple meal (especially one with a kick), Dave’s is it!

This was our 1st time trying this place out. When we first ordered, it was asked if this was our first time, of which we answered yes. She suggested to my hubby to get lite spice to at least get some experience since he likes easy spicy things and he got a no spice tender. Great suggestions! I got mild, and now I know I need to go up a level next time. Great first experience

The food was cooked fresh to order. The chicken was juicy and full of flavor. The fries had Cajun spices on them and the dipping sauce was was good too. I got the medium spice chicken which was even hotter than I thought it would be, but the flavor was sooo good. The kale slaw and pickles were delicious too. I love this chicken sandwich 10x more than the other name brand chicken places. I will be a regular here.

First time here and first thought was only two chicken strips for a combo? BUT the chicken tenders are HUGE. Each tender has a piece of bread and fries. I got the mild and gave it 4/5 stars because it is sweet but I cannot comment on all other spice levels.. I can only speak for the mild. The Dave’s sauce is sweet as well.. so the mild sweet and sweet sauce threw it off. However, it wasn’t horrible. The Mac n cheese was really good! Staff was nice as well! I will go back to taste other spice levels!

I went with a bunch of friends that scared me into getting mild which honestly wasn’t that spicy, go figure. But the chicken was mad fresh and the spices had a great flavor especially with the honey. I would probably go here over cane’s, and I love cane’s. The ice cream was also pretty good, I got the vanilla. If you want spicy chicken but are not into pain I would go with hot. The only thing I can fault this place for is that it is darn expensive. I payed 18 for a meal and shake. Other than that, it was great.

Was on the website browsing the menu which shows a loaded type of fries asked the cashier Kimberly L if they had those to which she rudely answered “nope they do that themselves” I then asked about how hot the medium was to which her response was just “hot” obviously I know it’s hot having been to other hot chicken places I always try to get an idea how hot it is. Had it not been for her service definitely would’ve gotten a higher rating. The food was actually good too. Wish they would’ve offered a condiment like ketchup or extra sauce but customer service wasn’t a strong suit for the person helping me.
