Cracker Barrel isn’t bad. I would maybe visit again in the future to try their dinner. I went for brunch after seeing a commercial for their french toast latte (I believe is what it was). It was amazing. I would go just to get that to go. We were seated right away, which was a good sign, we were expecting to have to wait. After ordering it took about 40 minutes to get our food, they were pretty busy, so understandable. However, during that time we didn’t see our waitress at all, and my husband was waiting for a refill on his coffee for 20 of those minutes. I would have still given four starts, but the food just wasn’t a hit. There wasn’t much flavor. My over easy eggs were not, still, that’s okay. My husband’s were. However, they were bland. My husband’s sausage was an interesting burnt puck, and the gravy for the biscuits didn’t have enough flavor. Wanted to love it, just didn’t.

Came in for a quick breakfast and decided to try the new Pancake Tacos, and to my utter shock they were actually pretty amazing. I was thinking the syrup was never going to work with the fried egg and cheese, but somehow it all comes together and compliments each other in one folded pancake. (well, two actually, but you get what I mean)

This place simply can’t be beat. World’s best pancakes and good wholesome food. Always bring bavk some pancake mix home and other goodies from their general store!

I don’t think it’s the best place to eat, but it’s not that bad. The ambiance is great! The service is good… the food is average, at the level of Fridays or Applebees… chain restaurants of that style. We ordered some French-style donuts and fried cheese as appetizers, then a steak with shrimp and fried chicken with French toast.

Note we went on Easter day… It was super busy the hostess didn’t ask for a name and told us we were next to be seated… But ended up seating two tables before us anyway but after I asked why they seated two tables that came in after us while we were standing in front of her.. She admitted she forgot. Not sure how. ( they came right in and she told the waitresses immediately the two sets to take and as I was trying to tell her we were still waiting she hushed me) any who we sat down and they immediately took our order… Our food came out cold. But the waitress did bring out two new and hot orders of potatoes… But they were very slow which was expected. But they were all frazzled…

Amazing place for pancakes. It’s my daughters fav place and they have so many options under $12 which makes it pocket friendly too. Food and hospitality is amazing and always yummy. Would definitely visit again and recommend.

What can I say? I’m a Cracker Barrel enjoyer. First time having breakfast there and the pancakes were amongst the best I’ve ever had. Nice and soft and buttery with crispy edges, just the way I like them. The sugar-cured ham was wonderful as well. Honestly, almost everything was wonderful. The only ding was that I’m told the coffee was not great, for what it’s worth.

The young seating staff weren’t very polite, however the servers were great, and the boutique cashier was VERY kind and helpful. The food was good, the restaurant wasn’t too loud or crowded

We’ve been going to Cracker Barrel in Clifton park for several years. Usually a wonderful experience.. tonight the hostess was lacking, the server (Kristine) was awesome. The food was yummy.. but the portions we’ve become accustomed to were certainly lacking tonight.. it’s like we got half portions of the meatloaf and the Mac n cheese .. I usually like to cut mine in half to bring home for a cold meatloaf sandwich the next day … not with tonight’s portion 🙁

While Cracker Barrel is always a fun place to visit and dine in. They continue to drop the ball on service especially with the wait staff. While getting a table was rather quick, it took about 20 minutes for the waitress to introduce herself and get our drink orders. Since we waited that long we placed our dinner orders too. Drinks took a while to come along with the biscuits and corn bread. As she brought each item, she forgot to leave either straws and/or cutlery. Food was overall good. I did notice that our waitress was managing many task at once even to clearing the tables and wiping them down, not sure where the porters were to clean up a table but we left her a nice tip. The shopping experience never disappoints but the lack of servers is what makes for an overall bad experience. I generally go to the Fishkill location and always have a bad experience there, so my family and I decided to give this location a try to debunk the myth unfortunately it held up. I do hope corporate can give assistance to their locations when it comes to the wait staff. I generally DO NOT like to leave a bad review but this is just a warning to those that may want to visit. We will always continue to support the franchise but they do need improvements.
