We offer many sandwiches including our 2 best selling sandwiches the Cuban Pirogue and the Bayou Muffaletta, 2 alligator sandwiches, 2 Reubens, and our famous chicken salad sandwich just to name a few. (Our Chicken Salad was made famous by Sunrise Cookies in Gloster, Louisiana, at the Kickapoo Corner.) We also have many other sandwiches for you to discover. We also offer 5 different casseroles every day for Take & Bake.
Call your casserole order in at least 4 hours before you plan to pick it up and we will have it heated so that you don’t have to do the work. Just put it on the table and enjoy!
For those who prefer something a little less filling, we also have salads and a (seasonal) daily soup.

So now that I know there is parking in the back I feel better about coming here. Even still it is a small building with tight seating. Could be a little more handicap friendly. The service is good but they could probably use two people up front for rush hour. I grab my food from the counter so the staff doesn’t have to bring it to me. The tables are always clean and the place is tastefully decorated to show their appreciation for the local culture and history. The potato salad tasted like it came from the grocery deli this time but their muffuletta is definitely one of the best in town. The water is not filtered so drinks taste like most of Shreveport drink (dirt). But I do recommend them to people because they really are good sandwiches.

ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE SANDWICH. Do not pass this place up….. best sandwich I have ever eaten, I had the 12 Mile and the wife had The Lafourche….. not a single bite left on either plate. Gumbo was excellent as well. If you are looking for a delicious sandwich at a very reasonable price, do not pass this place up!!!!

I’ve been hearing a lot about this place. Finally decided to give it a try! (6-24-21) Did not disappoint! Three for us in our party. A friend and I tried the Bayou Muffuletta. Delicious! The other tried The Loggy Bayou (Rueben) We each thoroughly enjoyed our sandwiches. The employees were friendly. The restaurant was very clean. Highly recommend! Give it a try! The menu as of today.
