This is a really nice place for lunch and a great scenic location! Sandwiches are so delicious and tasty! Normally we would give it a five star rating and usually the staff are EXTREMELY COURTEOUS and friendly, but the lady, behind the counter was extremely rude and unpleasant, not only to me but also to another customer, which I observed the interaction with! There was no reason why I should have been subjected to this treatment??? I was taken aback. Not the friendly service and interaction we have normally received at this store! Disappointed!!!☹️☹️

Stopped by the Riverton General Store after a hike looking for a sandwich. I was pleasantly surprised by the establishment. There were two employees both of whom were entirely pleasant and happy to help. The sandwiches were made to order and they were speedy without rushing. There is indoor and outdoor seating. We sat outside and it was quite nice. There’s a good selection of drinks and snack and dessert options. I’ll be back.

First time visit, (from NH), and went for breakfast & coffee. Was impressed with the quaintness of the business, friendliness of employees and the delicious “true” Italian Grinder, I had that won out over a breakfast sandwich! Would of given 5 stars, however, 3 “flavored” coffee pots were empty. Do highly recommend!

All the snacks, drinks and baked goods you could ask for from a classic New England general store with an exceptional deli counter and ice cream that’s a notch above the rest. They have pretty standard coffee (drip/batch brewed) nothing spectacular but perfectly fine to accompany their fresh pies and desserts.
