Yhey just open in February of 2022. The food was amazing, our waiter was so kind. Oyster were fresh, drinks were good we got spring rolls all veggie it did taste like a little too much traggon but over good with the chill sauce good. I got the special of the day which was chicken lo mein by far the best lo mein ever better than your Chinese restaurant. My partner had the hugo burger the best. The creme Brulee was delicious chocolate cake was good but half of it was enough lots of chocolate so if your not a chocolate fan i wouldnt recommend it, but was delicious if they had tea or coffee to go with it I still would come back here it was all good.

Very exciting to have another chill spot in Montpelier! The atmosphere of this gem is great. In the dining room it was quiet enough to connect with a friend, while still being so fun. The downstairs bar area is very cool with a laid back, fun vibe. The food was also great – the grilled cheese was quite unique and the salad is exactly what you’d want. Our waiter, Andrew, said it was his first shift – but he was so kind and informative. I’ll be back and I’d highly recommend giving this place a shot!

We made a reservation on a Tuesday evening. The decor is wonderful. We were sat at a perfect table for 2. We ordered a bottle of wine and our food. Our wine came with an additional member of staff as our server had not done a wine service. There was no tasting as we both were poured an ounce of wine. Our appetizers showed up. My wife’s soup was a special, duck soup. It missed the mark, the unrendered duck skin was included and the broth was a bit over salted. The Han Shan dumplings were delicious. We ordered the trio of pickles; I should have asked for clarification on this dish. The dish is three pickled vegetables none of them a cucumber- that’s on me, but my wife enjoyed it. 3 minutes after our appetizers arrived, our entrees arrived. Our perfect table for two had 3 appetizers, 2 mains, share plates, a bottle of wine, wine and water glasses and no room for the candle or flowers. We resigned ourselves that we would be eating something cold. We ate the meal with dirty dishes that remained uncleared. While navigating hot and cold foods a server sat a single diner at a table for 4, perhaps seeing the kitchen makes all your food at once. We wanted a romantic evening, celebrating our anniversary. It was what it was, but not romantic. If you dine here, I highly recommend just ordering appetizers and then order main courses after you eat, unless cold food is what you’re looking for…

Ok, so I moved to town about two months ago. I’ve sat at this bar bare minimum once a week since, always order off the special menu, always get app din and dessert. This place is fire. I get a lot of seafood, they have some pan Asian feel items which are also delicious, some classic New England feels. I’d say a lot of French influence, especially with their desserts, which are incredible. Beignets, hands down, all day. I guess a little bit of everything in true Vermonter style.

The piano bar upstairs has live music three nights a week. I was in full R&R mode after a challenging week. Smooth instrumental jazz by the Mike Bjella Trio. More emphasis on cocktails vs beer, although the selection is very good. Athletic Brewing for non-alcoholic beer — one of the best small craft n/a beer in the market. Excellent food.

Cozy atmosphere, friendly staff and a great variety of plates. Oysters, who can get enough? Am I right? Highly recommended.

Once again Chef John and his staff delighted our taste buds. Chef John’s main menu items and “specials” keep us coming back for more, from appetizers like Japanese six shooters (amazing oyster dish), and a delightful pear salad ( to die for) to the hearty comfort of meatloaf with bacon and Trenchers Mac and cheese. My partner opted for the beet burger and it didn’t disappoint such wonderfully blended flavors. We are already planning our return visit! Yum

The steak was cooked to perfection. The fries (frittes) were had a tiny bit too much salt which was a good thing because it wet perfect to help enhance the steak dish. I wish it was more tender.
