Me and a friend meet there for their specials. We ordered each a martini which were both very good. We were surprised to see that on our check we were upcharged for special vodka that we didn’t ask for. Quite frankly, that is sneaky and we should have been asked if we wanted a higher shelf alternative. If so, I definitely wouldn’t have chosen Seagrams. I really don’t like being taken advantage of and by the time I got my check, I was too tired to say anything, which I regret. Look at the picture. $29 for food $42 for liquor! We had a martini when we arrived and one with our dinner! $42?!

We had a reservation and after we were seated about 10 min late, we honestly had the worst service I’ve experienced in a long time. We didn’t see a server for at least 20 minutes after we sat, didn’t get a drink for another 15 minutes, waited another 15 minutes to hear the specials and place our order. Salads took a while and our dinners took a very long time. Our waiter claimed it was because one of our party had ordered a well-done steak, but that steak came out red! They ran out of bread so we each only got one piece. Although our other meals were very good, the prices were quite inflated and we just wouldn’t return due to the poor service.

We’ve enjoyed Joe Gatt’s many times in the past five or so years and last night I have found a new favorite dish. I had their Chicken Marsala and it was excellent. My wife usually has the Chicken Milanese and it too is excellent. Joe frequently visits the tables and is very gracious and thankful for our patronage. This restaurant continues to be highly recommended.

Food is decent but kind of pricey for decent food. Joined a group of friends for dinner there a couple weeks ago and I don’t remember anyone saying their food was great. Entree portions were large but I would certainly reduce the size for better quality. Service was polite and friendly although it seems the server disappeared for a while a couple times. I would go back and try again but there are certainly other options nearby.

I sat at the bar. The bartender became quickly busy. She refilled drinks for other customers quickly, but not mine. Other customers were offered bread. I wasn’t until I was ready leave.
