We have always loved Outback pizza in Taos, but by chance we found Taos “Up Front” Cafe for breakfast. It was amazing. The atmosphere and food was delicious and every plate we saw being served made us want to come back and try that as well. And as much as the food was amazing, our waitress Yvette was even better. She was so sweet and accommodating. She was a jewel and and definitely a bonus to our visit.

Delicious breakfast with an extra flair of originality. Love the coffee, and don’t miss the pastry case with a variety of scrumptious cinnamon rolls, donuts, and breakfast breads! The fireplace is very inviting and there are lots of windows. We highly recommend the huevos and the omelet.

The server did their best but the manager canceled those efforts.

We were looking for a place to have breakfast in Taos. On our way home to Denver. My husband and I shared a delicious breakfast burrito with green chili, we both had some of their freshly brewed coffee and we got a warm cinnamon bun to go. The folks here are so nice and the food was yummy. There is plenty of seating inside and out. From what we observed, this is a dog friendly place.

I hate hate hate to bash a small town joint. I can’t express how bad our breakfast was. Truly inedible. 3” cold cinnamon rolls “straight out of the oven”-8$ a piece. A ramekin of gravy, less than 1/4 cup-$4. Scrambled eggs that were just a patty of over cooked eggs so over cooked they crunched. Water green chili. A server overwhelmed with 2 tables. All bad. Would be happy to pay if it was good, it was probably the worst meal I’ve ever paid for.

I had a basic egg, toast, bacon and hash brown breakfast. Everything was cooked to my liking.

Decided to give Taos cafe a try this morning and I really wish I had read the reviews before stopping. We looked over the menu and thought everything sounded good so we chose to order the omelet with bacon

Nice atmosphere. However we didn’t get to enjoy any food. We waited nearly an hour for our food. One of our two items arrived and unfortunately it was ice cold. The waitress also informed us that our other plate was served to another table. We decided to leave after our waitress walked away with no apology or mention of when the food we ordered would come out. Could have been a bad day but the service was very disappointing. This restaurant doesn’t seem well equipped to manage more than a few tables so probably best to go somewhere else unless you’ve got hours to kill.

So I was looking for some Breakfast Pizza, but dude invited me in to the front restaurant, so I ordered some French toast & it was splendid. Said the place was New Orleans style. Nice place, clean, got my food, & ate it, paid, & then out the door. Exactly what I wanted. Good job everybody.

We ate breakfast here on vacation and there was almost nothing good about the experience. The “french toast” was the saddest 4 little slices of sandwich bread dipped in egg I’ve ever seen at a restaurant – for $12! The hashbrowns were too salty to eat, they mixed up who wanted their breakfast smothered in chili, rendering one breakfast inedible and the other bland, and they forgot my kids’ sausages. The dining room was also freezing cold – there was a fireplace in one room but the heat didn’t seem to work in the other rooms, so if you weren’t near it, you just froze. Our server was quite friendly, but we had a really unsatisfying meal at a really high price and would definitely not go back.
