It was my first time trying this place. I got the Chashu rice plate and vegetable tempura. My plate was delicious and I ate the whole thing. The vegetable tempura was missing something, like a dipping sauce, maybe spicy mayo. I should’ve asked for some, but I was too busy inhaling the Chashu rice.

I live in Modesto, I usually go to that location however, I went to the Riverbank one and the food was really good. Also the food tasted a lot better than the Modesto branch. The bbq chicken was really moist and well cooked as well as the chicken katsu. The cooks are on point. Still love the Modesto branch but was shocked how much more I enjoyed the food.

I have a few problems with the way this particular location is being run. It just recently opened and our family gave it a shot. My son loved his ramen bowl and the quality of chicken we got in our meals seemed better than some of their competitors.

I did actually really love this business and never had issues, the reason I’m giving a 1 star is because yesterday I got a bowl of seafood ramen and got food poisoning from it. The shrimp tasted fine, it’s whatever mussels or other seafood was added that I remember tasting and thinking the quality of food wasn’t quite there. Definitely regretted it later. Unfortunately with experiences like this I can’t see myself going back and thats just simply because seafood is something that is really fragile, when serving it you have to make sure it’s fresh. Now it has me thinking how the other ingredients may not be so fresh.
