Father-in-law was in from Washington State & super skeptical about tacos sold out of a truck in a liquor store parking lot I’d never been here but told him it’d probably be the best tacos he’d ever had. He tried one & then got 5 & raved about them his whole trip!

My family is new to Texas and we were out venturing in the Mabank area when we came upon the Taqueria La Pionera taco stand. We were hungry so we decided to give it a try. The service is very good. The lady and the girl were very nice. The food was Awesome. My family is a bunch of picky eaters and they loved the food.

I ordered my tacos over the phone and when I pulled up to get them another couple was their that had already ordered. I paid for mine and the lady brought my food and set it in the counter, I was waiting on my change and the gentleman behind me walked up and grabbed the food and just assuming it was his since I wasn’t informed otherwise, I didn’t say anything’s come to find out it was my food, and I told the place and they stated they weren’t going to re make my food because she placed the food in my hand which wasn’t true and the lady said it very rudely. I explained it wasn’t out in my hands and I apologized and said I wasn’t aware and she said whatever just take it and when I looked at my food it was WAY less than usual, my tacos were pretty much just tortillas. I have sent so much business here and always come at least 2 times a week and now will not return

Best tacos I’ve had in a long time! Delicious and made fresh. I was kind of skeptical at first cause it is a little yellow trailer next to a liquor store. But those little joints are where you find the best food.

First time customer. I ordered 2 BIG breakfast burritos not knowing i could only eat one at that moment and had to save the other for later. Each burrito was a meal by itself. Great tasting no doubt and highly recommended!

First time trying the tacos from La Pionera and have to say they are some of the best Tacos that ive had in a long time! The staff is so courteous and friendly, and i just say the food was delicious!! We definately recommend La Pionera when you are in the Kemp/Mabank area. Definately deserves more than 5 stars!
