Just not quite a 5. We showed up with no reservation and the guy was almost disappointed when we said really its no problem for us to wait. Service was ok. Sat with an empty glass for quite a bit and ended up getting salt and pepper from the table next to us because we didn’t have anyone to ask. Reading the other reviews this doesn’t seem to be the norm. Maybe it was just an off night. The burger was ok. It tasted fine nothing wrong with it, but nothing exciting or above average either.

Nice little place….food was good, however service was not the best. I understand the place is still kind of new and maybe has some kinks to work out. I can understand that my meal took a little long to come out, as a good steak can take time to be cooked correctly. But good help is hard to find, especially in a small town like this. And our server wasn’t the most attentive. It took her a while to come to our table when we sat down and It took 5 minutes to get me steak sauce and ketchup once my meal came out.

I was on a 4 day camping trip to Santeelah Lake… Our camping location and the lake was soooo wonderful we decided to stay an extra day. We’d not taken extra food so we decided to order takeout. We called Moonshiner’s and order hot wing and a burger. Our order was ready just as we arrived to pick it up. Staff was very nice and took good care of us. Food was good. Wings were not the best I’ve had but they were tasty and my Buffalo style were fairly warm although not quite to my desired heat level. Still they were very good and we all enjoyed our dinner!

Ehhh… Hospitality was awesome. Ordered ribeyes. My other half’s was good but, mine was 75% fat. We told the sweet young waitress and she apologized but, was never offered anything! We paid $32 for potatoes, 2 pieces of asparagus, 5 bites of steak and a ton of fat!

Ribs were great and tender as advertised; mac and cheese was ok; but the corn was not very tasty and the butter-like stuff on top of it was not very good at all… still, the ribs were great.

by far the best food in town. Quality, taste, presentation is amazing. Service is top quality, food is ready in no time, appetizers are delicious (try the spinach artichoke dip with home made pita bread) and the blackened salmon with sweet potato will leave you satisfied. Desserts are delicious we tried the carrot cake, the dar chocolate cake and the best blueberry cobbler I ve ever had. You won’t go wrong. By the way., the two wheels in stay is also super. Highly recommend.

One of the few places in the area where one can enjoy an adult beverage with a meal. The staff is friendly and prompt with service. The owner has the attitude of, if I’m going to charge people for it, it better be excellent. Every meal I’ve had here has been excellent.
