I love cookout but this location can be a bit frustrating. I can tell the regular crew wasn’t there because this is what I received after I was rushed to order… milkshake cup drizzled with vanilla and I asked for a strawberry shake. Looked like they took a piece of strawberry and half blended it with vanilla. And when did they start putting onions and bell peppers on the chicken quesadilla? Glad I don’t have a food allergy. The milkshakes are definitely worth a trip here!! Burgers taste like they came off the backyard grill, onion rings are tasty & please try the cheese bites – were they jalapeno? Good is what they were!! And the watermelon shake was unique & so good that I got the same flavor next time I went which was only a day or two later because I couldn’t get it off my mind!!

I eat here fairly regularly, and for good reason. There is sometimes a little bit of a wait in the drive through, but more than worth it for a FRESH, hot cheeseburger. This is good food fast, not fast food. And I think my burger was all of $6 with tax, a bargain for the quality.

Every time I come to this place in Downtown Birmingham South Side my food tastes horrible. Especially the burgers. The burgers taste like burned charcoal. Very awful taste on the beef patties. It tastes like burned meat. The only thing that is good is the milkshakes. I will start back driving the extra mile or two to the Homewood location. Never have complaints at that location.

It was AWFUL. Nothing about my order was good or correct. My Burgers were made wrong. I ordered bacon on both….didn’t have it on neither burger. My Cheese Fries were cold dry and only had cheese in the center. Then the two….TWO young ladies at the window were very impersonal. Never greeted me and didn’t give me correct change. I WILL NEVER GO BACK THER AGAIN!!!!!!
