Awesome BBQ!!! Worth the drive. Owner is very talented and friendly. Staff very helpful. GET THE BURNT ENDS if they’re available. They make their own pork rinds too. They’re house made BBQ sauce and dry seasoning is amazing as well. Can’t wait to go back and try the other items on the menu.

Picked up a pan of chicken for my son’s birthday party.. J- tops you did not disappoint!!!!. Our guest talked about how delicious, tender and flavorful the chicken was.. There was none to waste..Definitely one of the best restaurants in Clayton. I will definitely be using your service again. The owner and his staff are friendly and knowledgeable Thank you for making our party a success

Update. The owner called and apologized about the situation. Said that he was going to take care of the issues. Tried them again same service with both boys on there phones but the order was right. The portions were still very small for the 18 dollar price. I went in for burnt ends around 1230 the sign outside said that had them but inside they said they were sold out. If the sign wasn’t there I would have came another day.

My grandfather was a well known Raleigh bbq restaurateur and I’ve been around and eaten some awesome BBQ in my time and J Tops is as good as I’ve had. The pulled pork and chicken are excellent. The sides are fresh and don’t taste like generic offerings. Even the pecan pie tasted homemade and has a caramel like filling. The staff is friendly as well. I look forward to returning and continuing to sample the menu.

JTops is by far the best local barbecue place in the area. The service was really good with nice and funny staff. Everything was fairly priced. The food is very good and will definitely recommend this place for catering and or enjoy good BBQ.

I ordered the catfish meal. Delicious! Love those thick cut fries and okra. You get a better value here than at Smithfield. Looking forward to coming back to this place for more.
