We are an old fashioned burger restaurant located on 37 North in Salem Illinois. We specialize in fresh ground beef and a mustard relish grilled onion secret sauce. We are family owned and have been serving great burgers since 1986. We make our burgers made to order and fresh every day. We also have an awesome team of employees and stride ourselves on great customer service. We love meeting new people and visiting with our regulars. We offer a wide variety of sandwiches and sides. First time here. We got burgers and fries. Grandson got a grilled cheese w/ fries. Daughter got the white n spicy chicken. Service was excellent. All the food was hot and very tasty. Very good. Will definitely be back.

This was a great find as we were traveling. The burgers were amazing. I especially enjoyed the Wimpy with bacon. The corn nuggets were excellent as well. Chris was a great server and made some excellent recommendations for us. I highly recommend stopping by whenever you are in the Salem vicinity.

Chuck’s Place is fantastic! The burgers are simple, classic, and delicious. In my opinion, it’s sort of like a mom & pop version of Shake Shack. There is a 1950s / classic Americana themed dining room, and then there’s ample covered seating outside as well. Definitely worth stopping by!

I don’t think I’ve had a better burger anywhere. The staff there is always on top of things and takes very good care of you. This restaurant is also one of the most consistent places I’ve been to. When you order you know what you’re getting as a return customer. All their food is cooked to order, so no cold food. This place is stellar and sets a standard for restaurants in the area.

This little burger joint is a little out the way if your just driving through, but well worth the drive it only took about 20 minuets to get there from the interstate and was absolutely a 10/10 the burgers are seasoned well and remind you of a smash burger from when diners were everywhere, the cajun fries were great seasoned well but not too much and fried perfectly crispy on the outside and enough soft potatoe on the inside to not just be over fried, we went through the drive through so my lettuce and tomato was packed separately which i like so that bun doesnt get gooey. If I’m ever up that way again ( I live over 200 miles away ) i will definitely make the stop again!

Ww stopped here on the way home from SIU . Googled restaurants and they popped up. Good thing they were on Google we would of never known about them. Chuck’s was fantastic , friendly workers , great food , reasonable prices . We usually try to find all the small business restaurants when we travel and I am glad we picked them !

Friendly faces! Sweet iced tea! Great customer service! Clean establishment! If you’re really hungry definitely go for the brutus. The restroom is behind the counter but is accessible if you need it.
