The restaurant was clean and the wait staff was very polite! Food was so so, my team ordered mixed platter and sautéed mushrooms. Mixed platter came with fried zucchini, fried calamari, fried jalapeño poppers, and mozzarella sticks with 2 sauces – the jalapeño poppers were the best rest was ok. The sautéed mushrooms was recommended by the waiter and it tasted like really salty hot and sour soup.

Great atmosphere Italian Cafe style nice touch with tea lights on the checkered tables. Warm feeling of NYC cozy Italian bistro. Had ravioli marsala that was excellent. Great warm service, staff was organized and knew the menu. Not your typical college kid staff which was refreshing. Wish they were open earlier than 5pm as it would be a great lunch spot. Perhaps that’s been tried before. Great food.

Exceptional! Exceptional! Exceptional! Best out to eat experience we’ve had in quite some time. From the moment we walked in until we left, everything was perfect. Mo, the owner, greeted us at the door when we got there and said “it’s lovely to have you here tonight”. Our waitress, Stacy – I can’t say enough good things about her. Phenomenal service. We had fried zucchini for the appetizer which was cooked to perfection. I ordered lasagna and my wife had spaghetti with meatballs. Both were delicious. They had a singer there tonight who was outstanding as well. This place is truly a diamond in the rough in Tyler.

What a wonderful dining experience!!! We were visiting the Tyler area for baseball this past week and had the opportunity to dine in at Mario’s. The service was amazing, and the food was equally great. Next time I’m in the area, I will definitely be back!!!

What a pleasant surprise. Wasn’t expecting too much, but this is the best Italian Restaurant I’ve eaten at in East Texas. They had oil and fresh bread on the table, flavorful dressing on the salad, and really good Chicken Parmesan with delicious chicken and zesty marinara. Live music made this a special dining experience. I will be back.
