Amazing food with huge portions!! We stopped by here on our road trip for lunch due to the high reviews- all the praise is WELL deserved! The owners are friendly and told us all about there little restaurant; they used recycled materials and many of the decor is handmade! They even encouraged us to sign there wall- which we did. We got a burger and pulled pork nachos- so tasty and filling (can I stress big portions enough?)! Also, the cupcakes, handmade by their daughter, are delicious- even if you are stuffed, you must try one!

Had the ribs plate and they were really good. The ribs had a nice smoke flavor and the sauce went great with the flavor. I’m from near Lexington North Carolina so I have a pretty good basis for BBQ. I may try the pulled pork next time.

The ribs were really good, super yummy bbq sauce. My husband was sweating from the Inferno sandwich, he really liked it. Suggestions, wet naps would be awesome and “kid friendly” doesn’t really apply here. The tables are pretty close together, so if you have 2 toddlers and diaper bags in tow, it’s not too easy to get through. There is also no kids menu, so unless you’re going to spend a fair amount of cash on a very adult meal for a kiddo, you better make sure you’re okay with them just eating fries for dinner.

Went there for lunch on Thursday 11/2. Ordered two brisket sandwiches. Was told they were out of brisket. It was the first day of the divisional volleyball tournament in Malta and they were oblivious to that fact. I have had good food here before but today the pulled pork we settled for did not have much of a smokey flavor and was real fatty. Also the outside of the business is cluttered with empty boxes, scattered patio furniture, garden hose, etc. To me it seems like the owners heart is not in it anymore.

If you’re into quality food in large portions, Ray J’s is the spot! Everything was fresh and delicious; the brisket here is as good as anyone else’s. Really friendly waitstaff and comfortable environment make Ray J’s the best Malta has to offer!

Ray’s warm and inviting restaurant recalls the old west in a refreshing new tone. Ambiance is part industrial part ranch but all fun. Delicious food, including yummy seasoned potatoes and the best doggone brisket. Awesome musical stylings!

My last visit was very disappointing. We get the combo plate, with ribs pork and brisket. Every thing but the fries were cold and tough. The brisket is no longer shredded. Not a good meal at all. Hope this is not the path ray j’s is going. I will give them one more chance.

The atmosphere was fabulous, staff was friendly and the food was amazing! We were on the road, traveling back to North Dakota from vacation and my husband said that it was the best meal he had eaten on our trip. I agree!
