Stopped here while visiting the White Sand Dunes and Alamogordo, NM area. I have had some good, not so good, and great BBQ living in Texas and Oklahoma. Can’t Stop Smokin’ BBQ, on the main road through Alamogordo, ranks up there with the best.

Great spot for delicious BBQ. The place is informal but quaint. The service is excellent. The servers are friendly and efficient. The smoked chicken and the BBQ pork were both outstanding. We also tried the mac and cheese, which was also delicious. The location is convenient to downtown and not far from White Sands NM. If you want delicious food at reasonable prices in a friendly atmosphere – go here!

Let me tell you if BBQ is what you want then this is the place!!!! The flavor was out of this world, portions were huge, and the sauce………holy cow. The spicy bbq sauce was on point. I bought 2 bottles to take home. The service was great, place was clean, and the tea was really good. I got the brisket nachos…mmmmmmm. I also thought the sink in bathroom was really neat.

I had the sausage plate. It comes with two sides, a piece of corn on the cob and a roll (jalapeno cornbread was my choice). The food was good and service was prompt and pleasant. I plan to return soon.

First of all, the service is very friendly. Place is cleanly and definitely smells good. As far as foods and combos go, they can be a little pricy, but food is super worth it. The smoked products aren’t dry from what I’ve had, but have been very moist and flavorful. Even their sides have a great kick of flavor. The portion size you get really takes the cake, as they can be very filling. When it comes to their drinks, they have a entire assortment, from bottle to glass, and even the regular fountain drinks. When It comes down to desserts, their pies aren’t overly sugared down, and it’s very addicting. Overall, it’s definitely worth its a good meal for a hardworking day.

Found the meat less tender than most. Had food delivered and it came without any sauce, so be sure to clarify that when ordering. The potato salad was good. The beans were not my favorite. Tried the cobbler and it was almost too sweet. Portion size was good.

We accidentally found this place on our way from White sand National Park to Santa Fe. We got the combo 3&5, pork rib and beef tri tip combos. Due to the increased in beef price, they are charging additional $1 for each meal. Food is delicious. Service is great too. Recommend it. This place is not on the tourist or fast food area of the town but it’s worth the extra two miles drive.

I got this as a treat before my birthday because, well, it is amazing food. I got the chicken and brisket. I spent my birthday miserably sick with food poisoning that lasted nearly a week. Just recently, my husband went back there (I’ll never touch this place again) and got the chicken. Now he’s violently ill. This place needs a serious health inspection.
