My wife had a delicious hamburger, and I had a pretty good foot long chili dog. All the chili dog needed were some cole slaw and fresh chopped onions, which would have made it a Carolina Dog. Hint, hint. The service was excellent. We’ll be back.

Found myself in Mountain Home helping a client declutter her property so I can get it in the market. I wanted a hamburger, but we had her little poodle with us. Not a problem! The Back Forty has a back door to the patio area and pups are welcome!

Everytime I come here its like being back home at a neighborhood tavern. Friendly atmosphere, nice food choice, GREAT BURGERS & Sweet tator fries, simple drink choices that help keep a steady pace. The servers are friendly here too. I do miss the pool table though ( dang covid craziness! ) Beer, Wine & Coolers here, NO HARD LIQUOR.

The food was great! But we waited an hour+ for our food and were there a total of about an hour and a half. Also saw people who got there after us get their food before us and were able to leave before us as well. They were apologetic and nice, but I just don’t recommend going on a Friday night cause they said that was normal for a friday night. I just especially don’t recommend if you have somewhere to be like we did. But the food was definitely worth the wait! Especially the fries!

My food was way undercooked. I got the chili size. The patty was way under cooked and awful. The place was dark and with the chili covering the patty I couldn’t tell until I ate a few bites that it wasn’t cooked. We was never offered a booster or high chair for our kids. It felt more like a bar atmosphere then a family friendly place.

I visit family in Mountain Home every 3-4 months…I make this trip from Canada and every time I visit I make sure we stop here for an ice cold pint and an awesome burger!! Best burger I have ever had…straight forward, seasoned properly, nice crust and juicy…would highly recommend!!

Burger and fries were great. Fried mushrooms were awesome. Waitress was super nice. The only issue was that it took an hour to get our food. They had a large group before us.

I left this area in 1995 and never forgot or stopped wanting the deep-fried cauliflower with cheese sauce from this place Just started going back here last year. Now this is a must every time I’m in town! Even the burgers, YUM! Love this little quaint place!
