Decided to sit out rush hour on traffic-choked Hendersonville Road at Elena’s. Good decision. Enjoyed their great tasting monster-size steak and cheese burrito. Despite being crowded, service speed was acceptable, but not fast. Parking was a bit tight. Turning south onto Hendersonville Road can be a challenge due to the high volume of traffic. Recommend.

Great place. Dont get to stop by as often as i like, but am always happy with the freshness of the dishes, pico, etc. Staff is always freindly and wait time in orders is usually really quick. Ive tried alot of dishes on thier menu and have never been disapointed. Vegetables always crisp and fresh, never been overcooked in my experiences. Definately worth going a bit out of your way for a place that is definitely a bit better than the rest.

Many of the Mexican restaurants near Asheville have very similar menus and tastes. Elenas cooks/spices differently enough to get us to go back. My wife doesn’t like spicy food so she loves the “baby” salsa.

wasn’t going to leave review but after the managers arrogance and entitlement attitude ! I take lunch 11 till 11:30, i called it in at 10:30. they said ” we don’t open till 11 an no cooking till 11!” I said fine, it wasn’t ready till 11:14 !!! I ordered two “chicken lunch quesadilla ” he says which lunch quesadilla? I repeated, he said fine. got back to work all I had was 2 quesadillas THAT’S IT !!! NO rice or salad when I called, told him to look at his menu. he says no I know the menu !!! $13.60 for 2 quesadillas!!!!!! NO wonder EVERYONE at my job says DON’T GO THERE ! you get better service, quantity and quality from dairy queen down the road !!!!

The food is wonderful and the service is very friendly. The salsa bar is excellent, but the most extraordinary salsa offered is the Avocado Salsa. Creamy and delicious with a spicy bite, it is what anyone who looks for flavorful heat desires. The drink specials throughout the week are a special treat and the bartenders don’t skimp on the alcohol so the customer gets a good drink for a fair price. My only complaint was that my boyfriend, once in the many times we’ve patronized this restaurant, was served an incorrect order. Is was a delicious surprise and we had no actual reason to complain.

Food was good. Wait staff was the reason this doesn’t get 5 stars. The hostess asked if we were OK, we asked for napkins and she proceeded to flirt with the table next to us, forgot about our small request. Our waitress was polite and honest but lacked basic drink knowledge and had to ask what my order was twice. I would go again just for the food

First time there last weekend. The food I received was not what was described in the menu. Ironic since it said in numerous places there is a $1.00 charge for each change to a menu item! FYI they apparently don’t have black beans ‘anymore’ though black beans are featured throughout the menu… Overall taste and quality of all our dishes was blech. Entire family agreed we would go elsewhere next time.

My favorite place to go. The staff is very respectful and keep your drink refilled! They don’t forget about you! If something is wrong they will definitely fix it no questions asked! Love love love this place.
