Soft opening was today. So the logistics that make this place a little different is you order your food, get a pager, sit down, self service counter-grab your own water, utensils, condiments- and wait for them to buzz you to the counter which might be multiple trips depending on how much food you ordered. Tipping is not encouraged here. For the soft open they were a little slow and we got there before it was crowded. If there are no seats available you might need to wait in line by the counter until someone leaves and then you can order your food. The food itself was good and we will be back to try the other items. Heard this place was popular in Diamond Bar so we’re fortunate to have one close by.

Best H.K. comfort food in the U.S. by far, never had anything more authentic than this, the vibe, the taste of the dishes, the smell of the brewed tea, the efficiency, it just reminds you of everyday busy life in Hong Kong. Cannot finish a single item on my own and they offer you to pack them home. A little free desert at the end just finish up your meal with a super nice touch, will be back for sure!

I recently visited the newly opened Chan Kee in Monrovia, a new concept HK Cafe that aims to replicate the experience of Cafe Coral in Hong Kong. While the restaurant offers an interesting approach with ordering first and then picking up your food with an alert on a beeper, my overall experience was a mix of hits and misses.

Have been eating at Diamond bar location and we are so glad that they bring the same great quality to close to home. Visited during soft opening with limited business hour. Will certainly return as regular after grand opening! Order roast duck, bbq pork, tomato sauce pork chop pasta and fried chicken thigh, everything is very tasty and fresh!

My cousin has been telling me to try this Cantonese breakfast place in Monrovia. He also told me not to buy to go, so I had to dine in. The portion of the porridge is huge, but if I to go it, it would have been one container instead of 2. The flavor is okay, nothing special about it, just porridge. But for $15 combo, I chose the rice roll and yinyang, plus the ice cream (dine in only). I think it is worth it. Everything is self-serve at this cafe, it is pretty simple. I do want to go back to try their other dishes, especially the WanTon noodle and baked rice.

There isn’t many people here so plenty of parking space. But the best part is the portions are huge like it can feed 2 to 3 people for less than 15 bucks! I’m not joking when I say portions are huge. They gave me a big to go container and I filled it to the brim even after eating 4 bowls of porridge. That and it comes with a side plus drink. I do wish they have warm soy milk but aside from that their milk tea is not bad either you do have to add sweeteners yourself.

So excited that they finally open a location closer to home. Went there for breakfast yesterday, not sure how long have they been open, but looks like not everything in the menu is available yet. I ordered 2 porridge, 3 noodles and a French toast for the 7 of us and we probably ate 1/2 the food cuz the portions are big. And the best part… They don’t take tip! I’d definitely be back for more. Can’t wait to try their bbq items.

My wife and I wanted some Hong Kong style food. My first impression is this restaurant and menu looks like 大家樂 in HK. I was so hungry that I didn’t take any pictures except the Rice Rolls with Chinese Donut and it’s super delicious and super authentic. We also ordered a House Special Porridge, Soy Sauce Chow Mein and a HK style Milk Tea(must try) super authentic!!! Will come back to try other things!!!!

The most delicious pork tenderloin baked dish I’ve ever tried. because it’s a self-service setup, don’t expect extensive assistance, although I did notice the staff clearing empty plates and consistently replenishing the self-service area. The atmosphere is lively and tidy, creating a pleasant ambiance. I’m eagerly looking forward to returning and sampling other menu items. Oh, and the unique salted lime 7-upwas exceptional far superior to many other Taiwanese beverage shops! I acquired it for just $3 extra with it being a discount from side ordering which cost around $5-6.

No doubt, this place rocks for some awesome porridge vibes! We got a single tub of thousand year egg pork porridge that totally covered the three of us. And guess what? The porridge came in a combo deal, and I went for the mixed sauce rice roll. It was like a flavor explosion, seriously yum! The person at the front desk was so chill and patient, knowing it was my first time there. They hooked me up with how the menu rolls. The whole place’s vibe was on point, with TVs on the wall for some extra entertainment. This first time here got me pumped to come back and dive deeper into all the menu.
