OMG! When someone said this place is a hidden GEM they meant just that. The food was delicious. Not overly season just right. I gotten the fish snack along with a 5 piece hot wing. The fish was so good and the wings didn’t disappoint. They were not fried hard they were just right. I’m glad that I taken a chance with this restaurant. The prices are not bad either.

Absolutely amazing!! Tried their gumbo at the fair and it was the best I ever had.. I had to find them and get some more. Many places advertise cajun food then it turns out bland, that is not the case here. Its spicy but not with just heat it is an explosion of flavor in your mouth. I also bought several other items off their menu that were all fantastic… Whoever left the negative rating must not have taste buds or like having flavor in their food… I’m extremely picky about my Gumbo and will only eat it from a very few places and I will say theirs is the best and I want to eat it by the buckets. Thank you Gwen for sharing your wonderful food and talent with the world, I wish you and your business many wonderful and fruitful years.

Incredible!! We tried Gwen’s for the first time on Friday night, absolutely inhaled the gumbo and chicken etouffe that we ordered, and went back for lunch the next day as soon as they opened. So, so delicious, please spread the word about this place!!

If you are looking for perfectly fried wings this is your spot. The spot is in the cut but Ms Gwen’s is clean and decorated to match the New Orleans menu. Ms Gwen was very personable and clealy knows her regulars. The wings were well seasoned and fried just right, not to hard not to soft. My family and I tried the red beans and rice and chicken etouffes. When I tell you we killed it all… I hate I don’t live in Ft Walton because this would definitely be a weekly stop.

To start this is some the the best customer service I’ve ever seen in a restaurant. Everything is fairly priced and good portions. The bbq wings were fantastic and a coworker who had the catfish said it was some of the best he’s had.

This is a hidden gem restaurant. We were driving by and saw their little sign side of the road. I turned back and found ourselves in this cute place. I ve been in restaurant industry for a long time and i can tell this place is a clean restaurant. Fried cat wish was great. Sides were excellent. Ms Gwen talks with each table if everything is good. We will be back for the wings for sure!
