We had been hearing about this place for quite some time and decided to make the small trek (about 25 minutes) from Newark to Thornville late this morning. What a great little “pit stop!” The service was absolutely wonderful, and the other patrons were super nice (which is great considering that it’s a small place and you sit pretty close to one another!). One of us ordered breakfast and the other two ordered lunch, and we were all very pleased. Down-home cooking with daily specials, and you can tell they take pride in their offerings. Super reasonable price, around $30 for three of us. We will definitely be back!

Place looks like it sounds. Cute roadside stop. Food OK, service was pleasant, prices are good. I am not sure how 70% of your business is breakfast and your only option for coffee is powered creamer. Every single person that ordered coffee complained about it. It actually set the tone for the rest of the visit.

Wow!!! This place did not disappoint. We stopped here while out of town and felt right at home. The food is delicious and fresh. This is probably the cleanest restaurant I’ve ever been to, literally sparkling. It is obvious that a lot of pride and love is put into this restaurant. My only complaint is that it’s too far from my home. If I could give a higher rating, I would!

Shannon’s Pit Stop was great! We stayed the weekend in Logan, Ohio and rented a cabin and on our way home Sunday morning we decided it was just easier to stop and get breakfast. The prices were great, definitely the traditional small diner prices and the food was fresh and hot. I’m always a fan of breakfast burritos and they had their version, The Bubba Special. My husband had the steak and eggs. The steak wasn’t 5 star restaurant quality or anything, but it was still great. They were quick to refill our coffees and there wasn’t any waiting to get a seat. They also had a drive thru window and they do call-ins/ take-out orders. Friendly staff. Definitely a great stop to end our weekend getaway and give us enough energy for the drive home.
