Triple Nickel *used* to be a fantastic place to dine all the time. The last time we went, several months ago, it was not like we remembered, after not having been there for a couple years. Triple Nickel Grill in Mandeville is one of my top 5 favorite places to eat in the area!! The service is quick. There’s plenty of seating. And the food is epic!! You won’t be disappointed.

The burgers are great as usual, but they changed the buns! We went the other day, and hamburger buns were so thin that the juice from the hamburger patty soaked through the bun completely, and the bottom of the bun was falling apart. It was not the same quality as usual. Hopefully this is just temporary! Loved the food other than that though.

The food was good, but very expensive. It was $45 for a burger and a roast beef poboy. The service was excellent and it’s probably a fun place to catch a game. I didn’t think the food was worthy of the price.

Food is good with huge portions. However, the kitchen is not clean. The cook was using his bare hands to make salads, cut chicken, load cups in the salad without ever washing his hands. Also, in between all of food preparation he would stop and play on his phone. Phones are full of germs and dirty. He would wipe his hands on his dirty pants then make dishes. Cross contamination! So Uncomfortably cold in the dinning room literally shaking. Will not be going back.

My wife and I sonetimes split meals when we go out to eat since we have gotten older. We just dont eat that much amymore. Well today, we were charged an extra fee for splitting our meal at the Triple Nickle. No other restaurant has ever done that. It’s not the amount of the extra charge that irks me. It’s the principal of the matter. A lot of older people split meals for the same reason. We feel like we have been discriminated against because we are seniors. We are very principaled people and we won’t be back.
