I’ve been going to Hink’s for many years….15 seems about the right guess. I’ve seen it transform from an outstanding place to go…..to a place where service was sub-standard (and unfriendly) during the last couple of years. I understand the issues the past couple of years have brought to the restaurant/bar industry. However, my wife and I visited again on Friday evening and received AWESOME service! Olivia was friendly, conversant and outgoing. Really made our experience enjoyable. Thank you Olivia! Hink’s always has a good selection of beers and the food has remained consistently good….not great….but really good.

What a downfall of previously great service. Hink’s used to be my favorite bar to go, for the very rare occasion I do go out. Recently I was there and was treated with the utmost disrespect by both “servers”, we sat down, put in order for our beer and other beverages, so far so good… until, we’ve been waiting for over 15 minutes to put in a complaint about our flat, dishwater tasting beers. I couldn’t even drink beyond a sip of it with fear of getting sick. I asked try to get the servers attention politely by saying, “excuse me” but had to resort to do this multiple times. The one lady finally responded and said giver her a second, which I did, she was clearly busy with typical duties. However, this second spanned to about another 3 mins of waiting and the two of them gossiping behind the bar while my party is waiting for service. She finally gets to the table and asks, what do we want? Who responds that way to paying customer??? I said i don’t want to pay for a disgusting flat beer nor do I want to pay for faulty service. She was so extremely rude, my party and I decide to leave the business. Never giving us our check on top of it! We leave and they follow us out screaming at us to pay the vodka tab. We of course oblige with the request because the mixed drink was fine, despite being only juice…, we still pay. The sheer lack of proper customer service was astonishing, especially on a “slower night”. I’m so disappointed in the service I was given last night and don’t believe I’ll be visiting this establishment again. I rally hope they reconsider who they have working on it and not have people who will just immediately lash out a patrons. I can’t express enough how polite my party was during this interaction either, we only used “thank you[s], excuse me[s], please[s]” I always try to be as polite as I can to service workers because I know it’s not an easy to job to deal with people, let alone deal with intoxicated people. But we weren’t drunk, Hink’s was the first stop of our journey’s for the night.

Just recently found this place and they must have an amazing cook cuz the food is great! Prices are typical and even a little under for portion size! Highly recommend the country chiçken wrap and the Swiss mushroom burger, and don’t forget the waffle fries! Will be back and ready to try more!!!
