An authentic Latin experience in artistic multi-use space in the heart of Dallas, featuring LIVE MUSIC ON FRIDAYS! There are many places you can visit in the city for Latin dishes, but very few offer an experience of the Caribbean, like Ocho Latin Cuisine. The Rustic Mid-Century design is wonderfully complimented by the original murals that adorn every wall. Booth, and table seatings are spacious, with several areas offering different levels of intimacy, including a beautiful rear patio featuring their name in lights. Enjoying a Latin staff representing countries from Mexico to Venezuela was a joy, no matter what’s your native tongue. Visiting a few times, once with a large party, then again, alone, I’ve had the opportunity to enjoy many of the generous dishes, including my favorites Pozole Rojo, Salmon a la Plancha, with a nice tequila on the rocks; all served by Paula, the friendliest waitress ever!!! The personal attention, Annabelle, the manager shows, the diverse clientele makes the evening perfect. The star of Fridays is easily IDANIAOFFICIAL, an one woman powerhouse, touching many genres of music from Latin to American Pop. Yes you can dance! & Saturday’s they offer a DJ to keep you moving too! Parking requires patience at times, but parking is offered in the rear as well! This place is very cool and nice to have brunch. Everyone was so polite and the food was good but the cocktail drinks were amazing. Our waiter was young and new and in time I hope he gets better. Good kid.

This was a different experience! It feels nice and clean in the restaurant. The food was pretty good. We didn’t like the ceviche or flan. But everything else was bomb. We went on a Friday night and there was live music. There was no wait. The service was great!

Found this place via Tik Tok and I was sooo happy with the results! We ordered a Michelada and a Chamoy and both were delicious! We also ordered tons of food including the queso flameado, ceviche, flautas and asada.

I can see the vision that Ocho wants to create., they are almost there. We were sat promptly and our server showed up quick. Not the most approachable person but he moved quickly though took his time getting back to the table. The drink was great, I can’t remember the name but it was tasty, I could down those quick, so I intentionally nursed only one. I love the way the plates were served on the wood, beautiful presentation. We had a big table so it works but looking at the smaller tables the plates are just too big to fit , they looked cramped into place. And because you can’t heat up the wood like a plate, the food gets cold quick. That was probably because the front door was wide open, it’s a pull up and down doorway, and it was cold that December evening. The entire place was cold. Not sure who’s wise idea that was but it kinda ruined my meal. Everything got cold quick. As for taste, it was good, more traditional Mexican than Tex-Mex. I’d pass on the enchiladas and also the flautas, they use the same red Chile sauce but imo it lacks flavor. I’m willing to give it one more try for the sake of it. Maybe next time they will keep the door closed.

We were seated promptly. Everyone from the host, waitress, to the bartender are very friendly. The drinks OMG are delicious . The food is great too. The best part is the music. Love my Latin music, salsa, merengue, cumbias, bachata. Just a wonderful place to go relax and even dance if you’re up to it.

Great tasting food, Will not disappoint ! The red/orange hot sauce is fire and it will light you up. Nice chill place to come have breakfast, lunch, or dinner. I highly recommend you come try this hidden gem.

This place is pretty great the food was amazing I love the murals on the walls. I checked in on Yelp when I arrived and because I did that I did receive an offer for free chips and salsa so that was great! The drinks are amazing I highly recommend the barbacoa tostadas they were great! The young ladies that work there are so sweet and very attentive. The reason I gave it three stars for service is because when we first arrived there were two young men that were standing over by the bar when we walked in and they kind of just looked at us kept talking to each other and kept looking at us and never came over to seat us until we asked them if we could just go ahead and seat ourselves.
