Don’t let the looks fool you. Small town bar/cafe. We had the bacon Swiss burger with an extra patty. Came with a side sauce of some kind that tasted great. Skipped the bun and potato chips.

I’ve driven through Buffalo probably over 50 times in my life and this bar has always stood out to me…. today I finally stopped and had breakfast. BEST choice I could have made. Is it immaculately clean with all the modern amenities? No. BUT it has the best damn breakfast and it was cheap! The staff was super friendly and the place has a vintage homey vibe. I took a pic AFTER eating half…. so if you find yourself in Buffalo, SD during breakfast hours I highly recommend the highway breakfast- 2 eggs, 2 pieces of meat of choice, hashbrowns and toast $11

Ok, lets talk about the obvious here. We are in Buffalo, SD so don’t expect a lot of options coming your way out here. However, here is one of the best! It is quaint small saloon that can easily be overlooked when driving throught the town. When you first go in there is a lot of space with tables all about and TV’s up in various corners showing sports or in my case it was Rodeo Day. There is no greeter to show you to your table. This is a seat yourself kind of deal, but there is no where that I saw that said for you to seat yourself. After a bit there is usually the one waitress around that will come by and give you menu’s and ask for drinks. She is ok, in the sense that she is polite and nice, but moves like she wants to be anywhere else but here. These few things is why I am giving the place a 3 stars and not a 4. The food when it comes out to you looks really good and tastes as such! It is a decent place to eat at. The bummer is when you are done with your food and are just sitting there for a while, you still have to go look for the waitress and tell her you would like to be done and get your check. The place could be a great place with the atmosphere not being too shabby at all. It’s just the customer service quality brings this place down to average even though the food is better than average! If you can tolerate the lackadaisical effort given in this place and see past that you can have a good experience like I did:)

Great place to stop and have a drink and a bite to eat. Prices were reasonable for this part of the country. We sat at the bar and had a few drinks and also ordered food. The bartender Amy was extremely friendly. The food was excellent. They also have a full salad bar. So any complaints on them not serving veggies is ridiculous. We will definitely stop by this place again the next time we pass through. I also added the menu to photos. We had the sirloin tips, a burger and the salad bar. The tips are amazing!
